The problem we were looking to solve was a new runner in a hallway. Thanks to active grandchildren and their puppy, the rug moved very easily. This rug pad keeps the rug in place as advertised. The double benefit is that small bumps that show up in a rug that had been rolled for who knows how long, are gone. The rug is flat to the floor and looks much better.
