I've been using these pulldown bars for about 4 months now and they're great! They don't fatigue your forearms when using heavy weight and give you plenty of options for different grips/widths. Don't put a lot of stress on joints or wrists either. I recommend trying these pulldown bars, very sturdy and solid.

Do be aware that these dip bars only work on a 2x2 cage with 1” holes, I had to drill larger holes on my cage in order to fit it as my cage came with 5/8 holes but I was easily able to enlarge the hole to 1” using a step up drill bit. Other than that the bars do the job, they feel sturdy, although my only gripe is that the bar is a little thin for my hand size so I find myself using fat gripz to feel more comfortable with it. I live in Hawaii and I was surprised that this rack got to me in 3 days! Great packaging and super easy set up. Solid power cage with nice safety straps. Nice, clean look and very good price! Compact size for easy storage and transportability. Highly recommended! One thing to note is that the holes are 5/8” and not the standard 1”. So finding certain attachments might be a little difficult.

I enjoy that this rack is relatively inexpensive. I was able to put it together in about and hour with the help of one other person. The rack stays sturdy for the most part. I enjoy doing pull-ups, squats, bench press, and over head press using this rack. Would recommend for any starting out home gym.

ive been (trying to ) using this for about a week. even from out of the box there have been so many issues with the product which all seem to stem from nonexistent manufacturer quality control. First and foremost it is absolutely not usable unless you lubricate the entire pole where the weight plate slide. On one side the sliding part was welded too rightly for it to slide on the pole. tired removing the plastic end caps but its not usable without them. tired taking one out of the other side and the metal part is too tight to fit. on the other side, the handles where the plates go it has deep scuffing that raised some of the material so i had to shave that part off or the plates wouldn't go in. even when i manage to get it working it doesnt feel "right" theres significant resistance coming from the sliding motion when you pull. Ive been in the talks with BalanceFrom to try to get a replacement part for it but their customer service is almost nonexistent. its taken a full week to get a reply from them and haven't heard from them since had i known the multitude of issues i would've saved my money. by the way, BalanceFrom sells the same cage, lat pulldown, and cable crossover from multiple sources. although theyre the exact same product and attachments THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE unless bought from the same source.

So far I have found the three larger pieces to be very comfortable to use and are properly designed to target the desired muscle group with no awkwardness. I haven’t found that to be as true for the two smaller pieces. I may just need to do further experimenting to find their most effective use so I will withhold any judgement. The cost for the three alone make them a good value so I give it an unqualified 5 star rating. I also added a permanent link and carabiner to ease connecting and reduce risk of wear to the, somewhat vulnerable, ring surrounding the hole.

Short version: The cage is awesome and well worth the money. The lat pulldown...is less so. Longer version: The cage feels very sturdy and is pretty straightforward to assemble. The pull-up handles are nice and high and everything about it feels as you'd hope for an economy home gym. Highly recommend. I did have the problem with some of the holes being machined wrong (see picture), but that doesn't really matter for the cage itself, but for the lat pulldown attachment. But that's a whole other mess. The lat pulldown glides as smoothly as an octagonal wheel. Each rep has to be followed by a pause to let the slide descend, and more reps than not seem to need to pull it down manually (for moderate-to-heavy weights, it isn't quite so bad but it's still noticeable). The above-mentioned wrongly-machined holes aren't a dealbreaker for buying and using the pulldown, but it does complicate things. Look, at the end of the day, if you're buying a $100 lat pulldown, you know not to expect a gym quality movement but this is pushing the limits of functional. But it does function adequately and with some lubricant or something, maybe it will work a bit better.
