  • Works alright for the price.
I was hesitant but needed something to work my lower back at a low price. I am 5'11", 250 to 260LBS. I was concerned it might not hold me or fall forward on me. Surprisingly, this held my weight and didn't fall forward. I have it adjusted lower to fit just above my thighs at the hips, which is correct in order to get the hip hinge. If someone adjusts it incorrectly and too high, it may fall forward on them. The only defect was the machining was off and I couldn't fit the safety pin in the whole. I solved this by using a slightly smaller pin. Otherwise I am happy, as I can build my lower back strength conveniently at home. This folds up nicely for storage as well, another plus! ... show more

  • A bit awkward but gets the job done
This is a bit awkward compared to the ones you find at the gym, but will work for me at home. I have to get into a particular position to use it because 1. its pretty small 2. it tips a bit as you lean forward (have to use feet to keep that end down) and 3. as other reviewers have noted, it can be a bit rough on guys, so legs have to be far enough apart. That leaves one particular position where it works for me: feet at the very end of the base spread out on either side. I'm 5'11, 165, and I'm not sure it would be good for anyone much larger than me. Perhaps the metal and welding won't break or bend at 300lbs but I'm not sure it'd fit anyone remotely close to that size. Worth $65 though for anyone my size or smaller who's willing to work with it a bit. ... show more

  • Decent but not perfect
I managed to get this used for about $65 rather than full price which was $80 when I was looking. $80 is too expensive for this. It’s much better for about $60 or so. This thing isn’t greatly padded. It works don’t get me wrong but it just could be better in so many ways. Biggest issue is the front legs don’t account for torque and the device does want to flip depending on your body’s size and shape or if you’re wanting to weight this up exercise and really get strong with it. I think for most wanting to just use body weight it’s perfectly fine, you just want to be careful. The strength of this thing seems okay. I’m 200lbs and it holds me plus some added weight (30lbs) just fine. I’m fairly happy with this for now for rehabilitation in my low back. But I will definitely be upgrading eventually. ... show more

  • Not a stellar product, but it's an excellent value if ..
It feels a bit flimsy, but it's strong enough for what it does. The problem I had with it is that the forward support is not far enough ahead of leaning pad, so the unit wants to tip forward if you're not careful. A person lighter than I am, or with a more even head to toe weight distribution might not notice the problem, (I'm heavier above the waist than below). I solved the problem by placing a flat steel bar attached to the rear support, under the front support, reaching another several inches forward, which gives me the stability I need. That added about $10 to the unit cost, but it's well worth it. ... show more

  • A cheap but adequate Roman chair
Easy to assemble, adequately sturdy, functionally great. Don't put too much weight on the support handles! They are primarily for balance and the welds might not hold up to heavy pressure. They do work well for support, assistance and balance. It is what I ordered and functions as I expected: not a heavy high-end chair but good for occasional use. ... show more

  • Works, but made cheap
Bought this online hoping to tone my butt and hams. Was delivered quickly after order. Putting it together was painful - the instructions were not good, luckily my neighbor helped me out, we took about 45 minutes to figure things out. Some screws needed lots of force and wouldnt tighten easily. Though they had a toolbox with tools and screws, I had to use extra pliers to assemble. I did sample workout on it after assembling, felt the burn in the back. Hoping the device would last for a while. If it does, I would say that I got my money's worth. ... show more

  • Good value for the price.
Directions missing a page so guessed on which screws went where. Got two right side handles so one is not positioned correctly. But otherwise happy with purchase.
