I did a lot of research on tonneau covers for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator before purchasing this one. I kept coming back to the Bak X4s because of the security features, especially the rail long locking mechanism that secures both sides of the entire cover and not just the end at the tailgate. The install was a little tricky, but, at the end of the day it was 12 bolts in total. I have a spray in bed liner and needed to remove some of it to allow for a proper install. The cover is pretty much watertight at the bulkhead and sides, but the tailgate closure leaves a small gap above the tailgate itself. We've had a ton of rain over the last two weeks and only a little got in at the back end of the bed. Overall this cover looks great and functions very well! ... show more

This was the cover chosen for a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave X. The reason for the 4 stars is two-fold. The cover is quite expensive, and in this instance, the package was 2 washers short. There are always spare parts laying around the shop so this wasn't a big deal. This is the cover that was overwhelmingly praised by enthusiasts who have had the cover and many compared it to others they've owned and this one seemed to be far and away the most popular option. That's why it was chosen, even with the price point. For the price, it would have been nice to have spare bolts/washers/etc. included in the package. Some of the parts are pretty specialized and would have been hard to find replacements for. Pros: The installation was easier than expected. Go to the company's website and they have videos on how to install the cover on various trucks. After watching this, it was pretty simple. The printed instructions were decent as well, much better than some of the reviews I've seen. The cover seems to be a quality product but time will tell for sure. Have not yet had a rain storm or car wash to test the cover in. It rolls up easily and seems very secure when in place with the tailgate up. It is also quite manageable if you install it with just one person. Perhaps with a larger truck/cover, you may need a second. Cons: Price. The cover is about 50% more expensive than comparable covers. The QA missed a couple of parts but it wasn't a big deal in this case. Still, something to mention. ... show more

First it came broken. A corner piece was cracked. It has a warranty so I'm going to have to test that out. Several pieces of hardware were missing, mainly just washers which I had on hand. But the other hardware was just CHEAP. It comes with two jack nuts and they are supposed to be torqued to 12.9 ft/lbs and one just stripped at 10. The the two other front attachments for the rail are well nuts and they are very difficult to not have just spin in place. A much better solution would be a bracket you could install on the other side. Use a guide wire to position it. Install was not difficult, but if you don't have hardware on hand it would stop you. And it requires some contortions with your fingers to try and get the well nuts to start to grip. The worst part is the fitment. As you can see in the second photo the rubber guard just flaps around at the front. It has a little bit of glue, but it does not stay down. Not 100% sure this will last. It has a three year warranty.... But I'm not sure its going to last that long and the thing costs 1200 dollars. For 1200 dollars it should look finished, not this rough. If the install didn't have me cutting some plastic, I'd wrap it back up and ship it back to them. But the instructions have you cut your plastic side rails so it is already done. The over all strength is nice. The idea is great.... The execution leaves room for improvement. I would not order again. ... show more

Pro’s con’s Rants and raves. I give this product 9.8 for my needs, quality, functionality and Customer service. I’ll start by saying the BAK Revolver X4”S” has the t slots built in. Don’t follow my mistake. I purchase the elevate track system. I wasn’t able to figure it out prior to purchasing if the bed cover came with t-slots. The slots are perfect fit for kayak accessories ie. Scotty teak mount fishing pole holder or yak attack/ yak hacker cup holders. Anything you may need just needs to be that type of track mounting. The X4S is rack system ready out of the box. The front end cap could have been designed better (rails) just one screw holding. I have a LAsfit Mat on my tailgate. This bed cover has zero interference. Vevor Cargo management system fits perfect underneath the cover with space to spare. Also works with amp research management system. I didn't add the extra seals so I can take item on and off with out material left on the bed. Bed cover allow a little bit of water( slash resistant during car washes (per way I installed) As well as heavy rain. Realtruck company will send out extra parts as needed to seal as much as possible for the best seal. Sold and shipped by Amazon is how I purchased. Item was 75-150$ cheaper than real truck website. Real trucks customer service is seriously the best! They handles my confusion prior to purchasing with grace and also offered to price match Amazon. I trust Amazon and use them as a security blanket incase of horrible Customer service from third party. Item folds/rolls easily. Easy install and use, great security. latches and unlatched smoothly. 5 year parts warranty is a piece of mind. Zero cost for lost or broken parts within the 5 year warranty period. First off, the cover is great. Fits a 2023 Jeep Gladiator perfectly. Install was easy after I downloaded instructions and went to the hardware store for the missing hardware……two times. 1. The instructions were missing. 2. Missing hardware. 4 locknuts and 3 fender washers. Required two trips to the hardware store. It’s a great cover.
