Description

The Revolver X2 aluminum hard rolling truck bed cover made with durable aluminum slats that sit flush with the truck bed for a stylish, low profile appearance. The Revolver X2 takes security to the next level with its patented rotational locking rails that secure the cover along the entire length of the truck bed. This cover also features cab and side rail seals to help protect cargo against inclement weather. To provide even more security, the RX2 is secured by locking your truck’s tailgate, giving you the convenience of a roll-up cover, with the security of a hard-fold cover. The Revolver X2 hard rolling tonneau opens at either side of the bed via a release cable underneath the cover and is operational with just one hand. The Revolver X2 rolls up tight against the cab without obstructing your rear-view window and is secured with an integrated buckle system. The RX2 offers an extra layer of convenience, featuring felt strips underneath the truck bed cover to protect your hand from the aluminum underbelly in extreme temperatures. Wonderful product during the warranty period then deteriorated rapidly. Positives: Roll-up action, versatility, security Negatives: Material quality & durability. Despite typical suburban residence usage and regular maintenance with 3M 303 Protectant the vinyl began peeling away from the edges and cracking at the folds. The adhesive joints between the various seals gave way, compromising the water-tightness. The adhesive securing the felt protective strip inside (hand-touch areas) gave way, creating a skin burn hazard (bare aluminum) and pinch hazard (interlocking sections of aluminum extrusions that provide the rolling action). All this, very shortly after the warranty expired. BAK Industries sells replacement seal kits but there is no practical way to remove & replace the vinyl without significant tooling and adhesive application expertise. If I'd known this was a disposable item i would have settled for a less-'premium' $300 roll-up cover from any number of other manufacturers. As it stands, it's now a heap of scrap metal and cracked vinyl... this is almost $900 down the drain in just over 3 years. Shameful durability. ... show more

    • There are a few issues that have me disappointed in this cover
attempted to install the X2 a day after arrival. There are a few issues that have me disappointed in this cover. To start the cover arrived with small tears near the bulkhead. One of the rails has an aluminum piece that was broken off, this piece serves in the operation of the cover. Unfortunately I discovered these things during installation. I have made contact with the vendor and am awaiting resolution. The things that bother me about this cover the most are the flimsy construction and hack metal work. For an almost $900.00 product, it does not seem or feel like it. For the price point I was expecting far more in terms of workmanship. At this point I do not feel like unbolting everything and dealing with a return process so I have high hopes the vendor or BAK will come to a good resolution. I will update with more specifics and pictures after the issue is resolved. ... show more

    • Beware that you might not be able to get replacement parts a few years down the road.
I have a Bak revolver hard cover purchased in 2014. Called the factory to get replacement parts this week and was told my model went out of production and no more parts are available. The rep I spoke with offered me no solutions. So I did a ton of Amazon searches and was able to piece together what should hopefully be the parts I need (thank you Amazon Prime). But give me a break, $1000 spent on this and the factory can’t keep some spare parts around? ... show more

    • Didnt fit our 2015 Tundra
If I could give this less than a star i would. we ordered this for our Tundra and went to have it installed only to find out that it wont fit. Pain in the butt now we have to return this big heavy heap of metal and go find a new one. Make sure to verify before purchasing.
