People complain about leaking but you can clearly see areas of opportunity when it comes to leaks. I used a little clear caulk in the corners. Yes it gets a few drips in the bed, but it’s 98.9% dry. Recommend getting a 3/4 drill bit to drill the drain tubes in the rubber grommets. Overall, like the fit and quality. Looks great. Replaces my other big bulky tonneau cover. Pricey for sure, but it’s meant to last a lifetime and you get what you pay for. ... show more

I bought this for my husband's 2016 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. He was able to install it himself, but it did take a couple of hours since he doesn't have experience with this. He did adjust it a couple of times to ensure it was weather proof. His track system and bed liner seemed to be the biggest issue with it taking time. Since it has been installed, he had loved it! It is excellent quality and does not leak! I was anxious about spending this amount off money, but I'm so glad I did! My husband said that it is heavy duty, but the weight is manageable. I put the details in the headline because there were a few things I did not know until I got the kit. First of all, the rail kit worked great (don't worry about doing anything with the rail against the cab - I took it off at first not understanding that). I can still use my rails and adjustable connections just fine. I did the whole install myself and took my time and still completed it in less than 1 hour. Fit and finish of the product has been exceptional and the support that I received on the one issue I had was fast and easy. There are a few things to think about with the spray in bedliner. 1. I had to decide whether or not to use the weather stripping on top of the bedliner. I knew it would not stick well because the surface is uneven and meant to not have thing stick to it. I chose not to use the weather stripping, and I have not had any water issues as a result (take your time on the installation, let things fall into place carefully, and examine them before you tighten things down). Issue 2: drain holes. I watched a youtube video to determine how to remedy the fact that the spray in bedliner covered my drain plugs. However, with a box cutter, I was able to do the job. So far this thing has been nice and water tight. Great product, looks awesome, and provides a needed place to store things. Recommend it highly. ... show more

A quality cover with that does everything that the product description says it will. It was easy to install with minimal tools. The modification kit for the factory Tundra deck rail system worked flawlessly and allows for its use with the MX4. I really like that you can open the truck tailgate with the MX4 down. I have done extensive testing with a water hose, and mine does not leak. That being said, you have to install it correctly and there has to be a flat surface for the bed rails to get a good seal. The aluminum covers with the latches will allow for modest protection of items in the truck bed. Negatives: - The cover came without hardware. While Bakflip customer service FedEx it the next day, it was still another 6 days before I received the hardware. VERY AGGRIVATING. - There was a 3 inch scratch/gouge mark on the cover when it arrived. I did not return it because this is on a pickup truck and inevitably will get dinged up in the future. ... show more

2021 Tundra SR5 short bed. This was a VERY easy install. Once the side rails went up it was smooth sailing. I have a drop in bed liner and didn’t have to do any trimming. That may not be the case for every drop in bed liner so be aware of that. The instructions were straight forward and there are plenty of videos to watch for visual aid. I also have a bed extender and it fits perfectly with the tonneau cover. I am very satisfied with the design and how it all came together, start to finish. ... show more

This item, despite very well built and relatively easy to install is not worth the purchase. The cover leaks like a sieve. Cannot send back fast enough.
