Watch the installation video from the manufacturer. The video makes it very easy. 90 minute install taking my time. The fit is fantastic! After installation which included both "water drain tubes", guess what? It rained. What a coincidence! I can tell you for a matter of fact, this BAKflip is *not* waterproof. However it is darn good. Moisture *WILL* get in. You should plan on storing anything that cannot get wet in separate plastic storage bins. I highly recommend this unit even with minimal water intrusion. Fits my 2013 F350 Super Duty crew cab, long bed perfectly. Easy installation and seems quite durable. Does allow a little water intrusion, but overall keeps things mostly dry. Love how it folds up close to the cab for bigger loads.. Also easily removed if needed to haul something that needs to be strapped tight (like a refrigerator) up against the front of the bed. ... show more

    • Easy to install bed cover

I recently was driving across a strong crosswind when the old cover was lifted off and flew from my truck driving on the 130 toll road (speed limit 85 MPH). The old cover was twelve years old and to its credit, not well maintained. I had noticed the retainer clip screws loose but did not tighten them. There was little holding this on my truck except the weight. I received this one and it allows me to contrast it to the earlier one from 2012. They added a couple of extra tie down features to this one. The rail securing brackets in the past were aluminum and now they are anodized aluminum making it better visually inside the bed. The drain hoses were improved and can drain into the tire well without drilling or modifying a seal. The only thing that I did not like was the foam gasket for the front of the bed. The old rubber double edged seal was in really good shape from the original unit and I kept it. I don't think the foam gasket would last 12 years without leaking and would likely show wear sooner. It took about an hour to install and at times two people made it easier to install when tightening screws inside the bed that went to the top. I would recommend to others. ... show more

    • I previously owned a G2 bak flip for an f150 and this one does not compare.
My previous bak flip had a locking latch for each individual panel. I thought this was an oversight in quality control when I first installed it, but after calling the company directly they informed me that "due to production cost they cut out the third locking latch." This is terrible because while the first section latches and the tailgate section latches the first folding junction does not. This means you can literally walk up and pull the cover off with just your fingers. I even took a picture of this demonstrating this to send to the manufacturer, but they stated that, "this is just how the produce long bed covers" (although this is for the short bed f250). As an owner of my own production facility I understand meeting bottom lines, but honestly that latch cannot cost more than $15 to mass produce and I would have gladly paid an extra $50 so that each panel would have it's own individual locking latch. This not only reduces the security of the cover, but it also fails to hold it as tight; increasing your chance of water leakage.... Additional Notes: 1)The cover is sent with a seal to run along the front of the truck bed where your cabin meets to allow the rubber to rest on the seal creating somewhat of a water seal. You're much better of going to home depot and purchasing rubber grade roof sealant and running a small bead across the bed to attach the rubber and create and actual seal. (the rubber sealant can be easily removed by mineral spirits if you ever decide to get rid of the cover.) 2)There is no recommendation of getting a tailgate seal which is an absolute must for this type of installation. Having previously owned one I knew to buy this seal. They're excessively expensive if you purchase a "tailgate seal", but again it's the same exact product that you use to seal the door seals of your home. Simply buy the 1/4" or thicker professional grade and you'll get it for 1/10th the price. 3)As far as I can tell the rest of this cover seems to be the same quality as my previous cover and I hate to leave a 1 star review. The lowest I would like to leave is 3 stars because it is decent quality. However, because the phone operator had a lack of care for my concerns regarding security and water seal I am forced to leave my very first 1 star review. I even informed him that I would be voicing my concerns in my review of the product to give him a chance for rebuttal, but still received no recognition. 4)This is still one of the better covers out there for the price and although it is not the same cover that this company built it's reputation on, it is better than the vinyl and other "sit-on-top" folding covers. I hate to see companies that start with great ambition start to cut corners and I genuinely hope they re-think the mass production attitude they are developing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Easy Install Great Value for you money. I will recommend to the full extent this seller. But first let’s talk about this cover in one word. Outstanding product feels super durable and light. Overall for install it took me about 45 minutes have in hand a 14mm socket or wrong and All will be fine. Now when I really need to bring out is this sellers customer service and customer satisfaction. At first there was an issue with the delivery R&L Carriers where hire and couldn’t find the address not sure why but it happens. R&L carrier sent it back to the seller and Tatiana from costumer service promptly help me address the situation and fixed it. Guys this is not a small box therefore the shipping is not cheap but the manage the situation and got my product. This is my first ever tonneau cover for my F250 and so far it seems great. The instructions were easy to understand and the installation was fairly painless. I park in the garage so I haven't seen how it performs with rain, but the seals seem to be fairly snug all the way around so I'm optimistic. I like the added security for the bed of my truck as I often have expensive tools in the bed that I don't like riding up front in the cab with me. The price is a little high but I considered the price of some of my woodworking tools and justified it because the cost of replacing some of those things would easily cost more than the cover. Overall, it's a great product and I'm glad I finally bought it. ... show more
