We don't have a car, so we either walk to the grocery store or order online. This backpack is PERFECT for those trips to get refrigerated everyday items. The first time we used it was on a trip to Las Vegas, where the closest to our hotel was a Target 20' waking from the hotel. We packed a 1/2 gallon carton of milk, a bunch of bananas, grapes, cookies, bread, ham, cheese, granola bars, and a 50 oz Starbucks ice coffee. Everything fit perfectly and it made the walk back with the scorching sun so much easier. We also used the cooler part with ice from the hotel and kept the milk the whole week as we didn't have a fridge. While it didn't keep it COLD, it was more than room temperature and it didn't go bad.
