Yeti takes a lot of grief for the high prices. I understand that but also you get what you pay for when it comes to their coolers. This Roadie 24 is an upright cooler that fits perfectly in the car for traveling. It’s sturdy, fairly light weight and holds plenty inside.     • If you are traveling with frozen breast milk, this cooler is for you!

I used this cooler for multiple, long, international plane trips with several layovers and my breastmilk stayed frozen, no dry ice needed. They even lost my luggage (cooler included) for over 24 hours, and the milk was still frozen when it arrived! To ensure the milk stayed frozen, I froze it flat. I also fill large ziplock bags with water and froze them flat too. I put the cooler in the freezer the night before to chill the cavity, but this was probably unnecessary. You just need to put ice in it the night before to cool it down if you are coming from a warm climate. I put the flat ice bags on the bottom & sides and filled the middle with the milk bags. Then I put and ice bag on top. I was able to fit about 80oz of milk this way. Per the mommy blog advice, I also filled in the air pockets with brown paper. Once I closed it, I didn’t open til we got to our destination with a freezer. The first leg of the trip it was out of the cold for ~20hours: 3 hour drive > 3hour flight delay > ANC > MSP > 3 hour drive. Everything was completely frozen. The second leg it was out of the cold for +50hours: 3hour drive > MSP > AMS> LCY > lost in London for 24 hours > GLA. When it arrived the top bag of milk was a little slushy but not unfrozen, and some of the outer ice had begun to met, but the rest was intact. Highly recommend this cooler! ... show more

Yetis are expensive but worth it. I had wanted one for years for the durability and superior cooling. I love the purple color and the fact it can hold wine bottles. It will be perfect for picnics. A little spendy, but it should last a long time.

This cooler is amazing. It actually kept food frozen for 3 days on the road! It probably would have stayed frozen longer, but I had arrived at my destination. I followed the instructions for packing it to the letter. The cooler is heavy, even before you load it, but I was able to carry it without any help. Worth every penny! ... show more

This was a Christmas present to my daughter and son in law. They absolutely love it. My daughter wanted pink and the color is so pretty. It’s the perfect size to put in the car and go. It is easy to carry with the nice handle. This is a great product and so useful.

We bought this for a friend who owns a flooring company. He is on the road or a job site all day and used to keep a gallon of water in his van to drink during the day. Drinking hot water is not cool! I'll tell you what is cool though; the Yeti Roadie 24 cooler! He loves that he now has ice cold water to drink throughout the day. His brother and co-worker have the older version. He especially likes the taller height of the Roadie 24, the improved latches and flexible carry handle. He says that the ice lasts for days and it holds more than just his gallon of water easily. You can fit 2 liter bottles, as well. He's thrilled with it and we were thrilled to give it to him for all of the things that he does for us. So, even if you don't need one yourself, it makes a great gift, too! ... show more

    • No water release valve at bottom

It's a great looking, keeps ice, easy to cary. It has no valve to release water from the bottom. You have to dump it from the top. I know it's small, but that's important to me. Since this is just my drink cooler I'm returning and getting another high quality 24 with a valve, I'll probably save $100 as well. I'm also not a fan of the latches. I find them to be harder to operate than the og yeti latch, other people often don't close it right, and they come unlatched when you try to fit it down into a snug space packing. Just to be clear, I wouldn't part with my Tundra 65 for anything, and it was plenty cold and durable. The features just aren't a match for me. ... show more
