our new Yeti cooler kept our wonderful buy for New York Steaks frozen solid for 5 days! The cooler is heavy & a little expensive, but I checked with our friends who have had a Yeti Cooler and used it for 10 years of transporting wild game meat. They swear by it & consider it a good investment. After making our 3-4 day trip from AZ to northern MN, we agree that it is a super investment & if needs to be a little heavier to keep food frozen…then we feel that is perfect too!! ... show more

Got one of these after the other brand cooler couldn’t keep ice for two days. This one still had ice after7 days - granted it was only a double hand full from a Couple of 5lb bags, but it was still ice! Worth the price of not having go get ice every other day - even in December! Love it!

I have no clue what the other reviewer is talking about - this is a one piece, roto-molded bear-proof cooler made from the same material as competition quality kayaks. Yeti has patented their own technology - pressure-injected insulation uses TWICE the amount as regular coolers. Full body seal and interlock system ensure your items stay COLD! My friend has one of these - if you throw down some foil, pack it with dry ice and frozen ice water, and allow the cooler to get cold overnight BEFORE you pack it we've found you can keep food frosty for 7-10 days. Try THAT in a Coleman brand stainless steel or cheap-o Wal Mart clearance cooler. I would recommend this for hunters, fisherman, avid car campers & hikers, survivalists and preppers. You can throw it on the back of your ATV or tow it from a bicycle - at 27 lbs. backpackers should look elsewhere. ... show more

This cooler is amazing! Truly a quality product! It stayed cold for days. I followed the instructions to pre chill the cooler by adding ice packs for 24 hours prior and I had no worries about my items staying cold and safe while camping. I wasn't sure if I would like the rope handles, but after carrying the cooler I realized they were so helpful and a smart design feature. The latches are very durable and keep the cooler closed tight. It is a quality item that I'm so glad that I invested in. This cooler will last for years to come! ... show more

Cooler fits a lot of drinks in it and keeps ice longer than my other cooler does. It is a little bit bulkier so not as easy to lift and carry by myself.
