I’d been using a TENS unit for my back pain, but began getting a rash from the adhesive pads. Tried this massager instead. It provides a pretty good deep pressure that reaches my pain

    • Not a fan of the control options.
I wish you had the option of turning of the kneading function. I don’t like that it’s just part of the rotation and I don’t have the option of turning it off.

If you're looking for super rough, this is the product you've been wanting for! It'll knock the breath out of you and shoot you upright with how hard it is. Some people may dig that and if that's what you're looking for, buy this!! If you want a gentle pressure, skip this one!

It has the kneeding cycle and you can't take off the feature that it vibrates aggressively on your kidney area. Very uncomfortable.

I like that this massager is large enough to do a good sized area but small enough to be more manageable than other massagers I have had in the past. It has a handle at the top which is great to use when positioning it on the upper, middle or lower back. Note: The listing shows a photo of a woman using it to massage her neck but I found that to be very uncomfortable as the balls at the bottom of the massager which provide percussion when selected dug into my upper back. But it’s great for massaging the rest of the back in sections. It can be used to massage the legs, abdomen and I even used it to massage my forearm as well. The reason why I took off a star is that I initially found it a bit confusing to use. The manual has a brief description of how the different modes work but it didn’t describe them in enough detail. And instead of showing low, medium or high levels or numbered modes on the remote it’s all done in colors - blue, red or purple (the colors are explained in the manual). Please see my photo of that page. It can work with or without heat and the heat can be either high or low. You can choose high, medium or low intensity (red, purple or red). The modes can be Shiatsu (continuous kneading in full circles), Shiatsu with percussion, or circles with pauses in between short cycles. I found that pressing on the Direction button was confusing. In one choice the kneading is in full circles without percussion at the bottom but it eventually adds the percussion. When I switched Directions the percussion stopped. But if I switched when the percussion was off it would turn it on. The massager has a removable fabric flap that I found useful as it cushions the kneading balls and that felt more comfortable to me. One thing that I really love about this massager is that it comes with both a wall plug and a cigarette outlet plug for a car. I experience a lot of pain when I go on long drives and I look forward to having this to use periodically during our trips. I don’t think it would be good to sit with this behind my back for the whole trip as it may not give the correct support under those circumstances but I think it would be good to take it out intermittently when I want to massage my back. ... show more
