It is highly adjustable. both around the waist and the shoulder straps. It takes some experimenting to get the right fit for your body so it gives the needed support and comfort. it holds you more upright but allows you to still bend over and twist around. I would suggest if your measurements are near the top of the range, order the larger one. Was able to put it on and test it out. I ordered the XL (37-42). But it would have been nice to have an option to select the next size up (43-??). My waist is 40, but the size I received was almost too short. Also, the side straps could be longer to reach them around.

I bought this brace because if had the extra straps to hold the brace away from your arm pits. But those braces do not come forward enough to help a 2X woman.

This back brace provide decent lumbar support, personally I don't use it with the shoulder strap, so it is nice that it is removable, so I don't have to cut it off! The strap doesn't stretch as much as the other ones I have, so make sure you get the measurement of your waist to make sure if falls within the measurement given before ordering. ... show more
