I got this back support primarily for my right hip/lower back area. I garden a lot and I'm a very active bowler. As a senior age bowler it gets harder as we get older with aching joints, and for me it was that right hip area that is an obstacle to bowling well and getting through the whole three games. I have used this back support for two bowling sessions that were just two days apart from each other. I can say without any doubt that this is doing exactly what I was hoping it would do. It's transformative. The support is quite effective at allowing my body to get into proper positions to throw the bowling ball correctly. As the spring weather gets better I believe that it's going to make it a lot easier to do my tasks without discomfort. There's an awful lot of bending and twisting while gardening. I like the adjustable nature of the support belt, being able to make it as tight as I want. I like it fairly tight. I like the fact that it is very wide as well. I wear it so is is centered on the boney part of the hip joint. It stays put where I place it and doesn't shift it's position. This has been a good purchase for me. I'm very satisfied with this back support belt.

This belt is very nice and so easily adjustable, does not get in the way of stretching, bending and lifting. I use this when moving heavy garden pots, pushing and pulling and lifting heavy stuff and it works well to stabilize your abdominal muscles and back during heavy lifting to avoid injury. So, i am usually using it to avoid injury rather than treat injury. Much better than what I was using before, and easier to get on and off and adjust without too much added bulk around your middle. Elastic is strong but not uncomfortable.

I have bought several devices to help reduce/eliminate my lower back pain. They either did not work or they did not last long. From day one of wearing this newly purchased support, I have noticed a drastic improvement in lower back/sciatic area. This item is slim and trim and not bulky and can be placed under jeans without anyone noticing it's there. The surface next to body allows it to stay in place without slipping. So far, the Velcro has held up extremely well and it has two areas that enable you to control the tension that you personally need. I can now do my activities without the intense pain I had just by walking. Wish I had found/bought this support along time ago. It works even when I'm bowling.

Value for money: Bought this hoping for some relief. And if it had been as described it would have been great. Had a similar one before in a different brand. But it wasn’t available unfortunately. This one was grossly oversized and the smell that some other reviewers had mentioned wasn’t an overstatement. It really is unwearable. It permeates everything around it. Not something that can be covered up be clothing or another scent. It smells like a tire store. Not a very becoming scent. Even if you could get past the smell and not wear it in public, the size is still an issue that can’t be ignored. If it doesn’t tighten enough to provide support it defeats the purpose. I ordered the smallest available size. And at 140lbs am not the smallest person by any means. But this fits my 235lb large statured hubby. So i don’t believe i was being dramatic in my oversized comments. With a few tweaks in design it would be a wonderful product. As these in general really are great devices. Just this particular one was unfortunately lacking
