The Baby Trend Trooper 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat converts from rear facing infant seat (4-18lbs) and rear facing toddler seat(18-40lbs), to forward facing toddler seat (22-65lbs) as your child grows. With 5-position shoulder height adjustment and 3- position crotch buckle for seat adjustment, the Trooper convertible gives parents the ultra convenience for installation and adjustment. The rear-facing recline flip foot also allows the Trooper to get great installation angles with ease. Trooper's nimble frame can fit three across in most vehicles which is great for families that have more than one kiddo. The lightweight shell also allows for use of LATCH installation up to 55 lbs. Couldn't ask for a better car seat for the price! Seems just as sturdy as the more expensive ones. It's a little too tall to easily fit rear-facing in a 4-door sedan, but if you push the passenger seat all the way forward, it works. I appreciate that it doesn't take up the entire backseat. This car seat is perfectly narrow, bought it for use on an airplane for my top percentile toddler (22 months). This seat is FAA approved (sticker at the top of the back of headrest) & fits in the seat of narrow regional jets (ERJ-175). I paired it with the Holm cart recommended by Safe In The Seat & it was easy thru the airport, fit rolled down the aisle of plane and installed in less than a minute. The only CON about this seat was the lack of recline options. It is forward facing OR a VERY reclined rear facing. I had to place my kiddo FF on the small plane due to the steep recline & small cabin space, but kept him RF in the car and it was really really reclined. Overall I was pleased by how comfortable the cushioning was, doesn’t feel like a “cheap seat”. 4/5 stars only because of the lack of proper recline options. ... show more

This is the worse car seat. They claim to have straps that will not twist. I returned the first one because I thought I just git a bad one. They twist all the time and are so difficult to fix. It's not safe for my grandson if he's not buckled in properly.
