Description

The Baby Trend Trooper 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat converts from rear facing infant seat (4-18lbs) and rear facing toddler seat(18-40lbs), to forward facing toddler seat (22-65lbs) as your child grows. With 5-position shoulder height adjustment and 3- position crotch buckle for seat adjustment, the Trooper convertible gives parents the ultra convenience for installation and adjustment. The rear-facing recline flip foot also allows the Trooper to get great installation angles with ease. Trooper's nimble frame can fit three across in most vehicles which is great for families that have more than one kiddo. The lightweight shell also allows for use of LATCH installation up to 55 lbs. Way more slim than I thought it was gonna be but it’s very nice. Easy set up has cup holders on both sides of the seat, it seems to be comfortable for my baby and I’d definitely buy again for the price it wasn’t expensive.     • For headache-free flights, this is the travel car seat you're looking for.
Forget the Cosco Scenera, this is the travel car seat you want. It's really lightweight and easy to carry despite being a larger, more comfortable size for larger babies. It was super easy to install on various airplanes and is slim enough to fit within the seat without any issue. Our baby was comfortable, safe, and secure in it during our flights and in our rental cars. The only thing I might suggest for future versions would be a handle of some sort to make it even easier to carry, but I didn't have any issues lugging it through the airports, and if you got a travel bag for it that would take care of that. I don't know if I'd use it as our primary car seat, as it's not super plush, but as a travel or backup/second car seat? No brainer. It's a great value for this price. ... show more

I absolutely love how light this car seat is, and at a great price compared to so many others. The main downside is the lack of padding for my baby's / toddler's back on plane rides. I got it specifically for our airplane flights to strap our toddler in, but stopped using it for that purpose after the first flight. I have to take off most of the padding of this to access the strap area (not convenient), and the seatbelt buckle ends up as a major bulge on part of his back. I have used a muslin blanket to pad the area to the left and right of the buckle so it's not so bad, but after one trip doing this I changed to flying with a more padded car seat with an easier access flap. I still do the muslin blanket trick on it, but I just feel like my kid is far more comfortable with the extra padding of the other seat. ... show more

We bought this to travel with. I wanted something easy to install and lightweight that was airline certified and this did the job. It's really lightweight but still sturdy. I put it in a carrier with straps and it wasn't heavy at all. Installation on the airplane wasn't the easiest and in some seats it didn't work rear facing only due to spacing between seats, but our child is almost 2 so it wasn't a big issue on the plane. The latch installation was fairly straight forward in our rental vehicle (NO issues with rear facing there). However, changing the strap fit/location isn't quick or intuitive, so if you're buying it for travel like we did, just make sure you've got it sized and set up before you go. ... show more

Cannot express how much I like this car seat. It was great in a t-bone accident, our son was 100% fine in the center of the car and rear-facing.     • Terrible Straps and Angles - My Baby Screamed Every Time We Went to the Car

I hate these carseats so much that I'm absolutely willing to go through the hassle of sending both of them back. In the past, I've bought a BabyTrend jogging stroller and loved it, so I wouldn't necessarily give the brand a bad review, but this particular product is terrible. I can't believe no one has mentioned any issues with the straps, but they adjust independently. That means one is always either way too tight or way too loose. Because they're ao cheaply made, they get horribly twisted. My son is so small he's not even wearing size 2T clothing at nearly 3. Still, I have to tell him to scoot his bottom back as far as he can, just to reach the strap between his legs. When he is buckled in, he sits at a 90 degree angle, which seems incredibly uncomfortable and even unsafe when he falls asleep. His brother, nearly the same size at 18 months, is completely reclined in the rear facing position. He screams any time he realizes I'm putting him in the car, because he doesn't want to lie flat on his back for who knows how long. This should especially concern those who rearfacw for an extended period. Both boys and their Mama are so miserable, these carseats are going back. I've alreayd bought replacements. ... show more
