If this fits your car seat, then get it, It is the same as what comes with the car seat, and allows you to leave a base installed on each vehicle you have. I bought two of them, one for my vehicle, and a 2nd one for my son to put in his vehicle. They work great and are easy to install. So grateful for this product. This base is easy to install in the car or move from one vehicle to another. You can install it with the vehicle's seatbelt or use the straps with clips to secure it to the metal hooks below the seat. Once it's in place, you just set the carseat on it, and it clicks into place audibly. It saves so much time when traveling with a baby. Especially as a woman, being able to get my baby and myself into the car quickly in public is important. As new parents, it's so worth the money to have one less thing to worry about. It's a little cumbersome to remove the carseat (you have to pull up on a handle and lift at kind of an awkward angle), but I don't really have experience with other carseats, so maybe that's typical.
