I was looking for a way to monitor my husband who is in his late 80’s as he relaxed in his man-cave. Didn’t want/ need something requiring Wi-Fi. I ordered the 2-camera kit but for now only use one. I’m mostly on the third floor of our home and was concerned whether the monitor’s connection was strong enough to reach the basement man cave. But it works fine. No interruptions or screen freezing and it’s very easy to rotate the camera using the monitor so I can get a better view of what’s going on as needed. The audio is also very clear. Here we have a portable travel baby monitor which needs no wifi. This works great for the fact that we don't always have wifi where ever we go. However everything else on this system is just average in my opinion. The picture on the monitor is just okay and could be better. Actually, I'm using this baby monitor to monitor the interior of my travel trailer. I have a dehumidifier in there year round and if it started failing or was starting to let the smoke out, I'd never know until it was too late. This baby monitor will transmit the sound of unusual noises or the smoke detector beeping to inside my house where I can react immediately. In my previous camper, I've had the furnace's propane solenoid valve start leaking which made the inside of the camper reek of propane. This monitor would have allowed me to hear the propane detector alarming from early on. I have the VOX (sound activation) set on high which catches very minor sounds and the way the monitor works, the screen will be off until a sound event occurs and then the screen immediately comes on displaying the area being watched. I have no doubt this would be a great baby monitor too. My baby monitor didn't come with an instruction manual but it was easy to figure out the various settings without it. The media could not be loaded. Night vision is a little grainy, but it usually is. Regular video is crisp and sharp. This camera can play lullabies, do feeding reminders, has nightvision, and more. For the price this is a convenient monitor with a small handheld monitor. It is about the same size as a cellphone and incredibly easy to setup. No WiFi needed just plug it in and turn it on It also has two-way audio so you can hear the baby and the baby can hear you.
