I don’t know where to begin with this one. I bought this monitor for travel purposes since it doesn’t need WiFi. I am so impressed not only was this product cheap but it has exceeded my expectations. The two most important things I wanted in this monitor was to be able to click one button to turn the screen on and off while still being able to listen and it not be a struggle at night and to have good enough signal to walk around. This monitor does both things. I have a very nice and expensive monitor at home that is also not on WiFi. It has been a good one as far as simplicity BUT it has been acting up when my phone is around it and just loses signal. So bad that most nights I can’t even have my phone plugged in or it will not work. Literally so silly. And my room is no more than 10 feet away from my kids room. We are directly across the hall from each other, so signal should never be an issue. It’s just an issue when the phone is near by and using the internet (streaming/ socials media or honestly all pages can be cleared and it just be plugged in and still mess it up). I digress, THIS monitor though has a quality image, good noise, good buttons that arent complicated, the sleep feature on the screen that still allows audio when off, and probably many more features I haven’t played with. Frankly, I’m thinking of just switching monitors. For travel purchases I did get a clip on mount for the pack n play and it also worked well, just search mounts that are compatible with this monitor. 10/10 recommend for a non WiFi monitor. Dont go spending money when you don’t need to, save and buy this. ... show more

This device is secure (it doesnt use wifi), easy to use, and just works out of the box. I previously purchased a $150 VTech that had a larger screen, that took 5-15 seconds to power on. The humble Kidsneed instantly flips on, so checking several times in the middle of the night doesnt involve staring at a device waiting for it to boot up, and the size has been totally sufficient for keeping track of how she is doing. Its possible the more expensive model did something this doesnt, but Ive never needed it. WIFI setup? Id rather know that my baby monitor isnt being hacked due to a default password or poorly implemented security settings. More songs you could turn on remotely? Totally useless for my child although I think this has 5 or so you could play. Greater up and down swivel of the camera would be nice, the vertical range is somewhat limited. But for my situation, this has been $35 well spent. ... show more

We had one of the fancy $200 monitors for 3 years that broke. I was looking for something to replace with a lower price point and this is fantastic! The two way talk is efficient with no lag time (old monitor had lag), zoom and pan functions work great, volume and color are awesome, the unit is perfect size! This is the best monitor that we have used for the kids when it comes to travel. It’s perfect for travel because you do not need wifi to hook it up. You do however need a plug for the monitor part . The battery life lasts a few hours. But it will not last through the night. So if this is your main monitor, you would need a plug by the bed to keep this charging throughout the night. It has a really good range and gets a good view. Sometimes you have to level it up on a higher surface or turn it on its side to get that perfect angle, but it’s not impossible. The only thing we have found is that after about a year it stops charging. We have had three of these now that we keep getting because of how easy it is and the price makes sense. We have had two just stop charging though after that years time. We use it for naps, and bedtime as well as travel, so it is getting a lot of use. ... show more

GET THIS ONE. Lasted me 2 years of 24/7 use before the monitor died. The picture is awesome, you can see your babies chest moving so you know they are safe, the range is incredible, and the sound is loud and clear.

Terrible picture quality! Awful. Cannot see my child at all. It’s just a grainy, indecipherable mess. When I first got this monitor I liked it. With life moving super fast and no time to give to thoroughly inspecting a product, I can’t really say whether this was an oversight on my part or if something went wrong with this thing…I just don’t know. All I know is when I first got it, I was happy, but for the majority of my time having it, it has been virtually useless. Picture quality is so terrible, we can’t tell what’s sheets vs baby. I think what may have happened was at the time we got this one I mainly needed it for watching the baby while she played in her bassinet and I was moving around the house. But as she’s gotten older and I need it more for watching her during naps and nighttime, I’m depending on night mode, and that’s the rub. The night vision is UTTER trash. This was not our primary monitor/camera. It was meant to be a backup. But here I am waiting for warranty to replace our primary monitor, forcing me to lean on this monitor to hold us and it’s just awful. I set up the camera on the wall mere inches directly above her head so that I can see her. But it’s also now too close. So if she moves in her sleep, I have to move the camera around to find her. It can’t zoom out only in…uggh…worst waste of my hard earned in a long while. Confounded by the many reviews giving picture quality such high marks. Confounded. Did I get a dud? I don’t know how that’s the case. But, I’m confused. The quality of my monitor isn’t up for debate. Anyone with eyes would agree this is trash. ... show more
