These guys must think they are funny. They market their tarp as 5x7 (35 sq feet). The packaging states 5x7 in bold heading. But when I opened package at home, it's MUCh smaller. It's actually 6ft 4in by 4ft 6.5in (29sq feet). That's a difference of 18%!!! What's worse, after I go back to their Amazon page (to confirm if I'm crazy), I see fine print which states "5x7 tarp is 4.4' x 5.5' actual hemmed size". are you kidding me? hat's wrong, too! You can see in my measurements that the tarp matches the sizes I stated above, though still smaller than the advertised 5x7 size. what a joke. ... show more

    • Totally useless in less than 12 months
This very flimsy tarp lasted about a year before weakening so much that it ripped open holes just when I picked it up. It was exposed to the very moderate temperatures of the San Francisco Bay Area, which means a few coldest nights in the Winter reaching the low 30s, and a few hot days in the summer with temperatures reaching the 90s. This tarp DOES NOT measure what it specifies. The one I received measures 4 ft 6 in X 6 ft. 6in. It was too small for what my initial intention was. I needed it for a canopy for a play gym, but had to attach in a different way because it was too short. I would have returned it but needed it immediately. I would be careful before buying this or another size tarp of this brand. ... show more

After having it for just a few hours the tarp ripped. It was on the ground and there was nothing underneath that would make it rip. We used it to cover the ground and had baby bunnies walking on it. (Less than 1 lb bunnies. Perhaps their nails cratched it? Don’t know. We put duct tape over the rip but it was disappointing that it wasn’t thicker material. I liked the grommets to help tie it down. The Grizzly Tarp is a good quality tarp. I definitely was not disappointed. I was expecting a cheap plastic tarp, but I found it be of good quality and great for the price for sure. Like other tarps, it is waterproof and good to throw over something and tie down. There are some metal grommets like on other tarps that you can put rope through. The tarp was of the same quality that I am use to in a tarp. They do make super thick ones. This tarp is not super-thick, so don't expect it to be. If you need one that is really thick, you should buy a heavy duty one. As a general tarp to cover things, this is a good tarp. I recommend it for general use. I purchased this as a footprint for my tent. My tent is 5'x7' so I ordered the 5'x7' tarp. I expected the tarp and the tent to line up perfectly. NOPE! The tarp is much smaller. Once the tent is up and placed on top of the tarp, you can't see the tarp at all. This worked out because the tarp shouldn't extend past your tent anyway. I use this tarp to cover a skylight in the summer. The skylight is a cloudy white, so lots of heat and light blast through. Yes, isn't that the idea of having a skylight. Yes, but the heat really pounds through. I attach it with a long piece of bungee cord - also bought on Amazon - and it holds very well. This is a smaller tarp, and that is what i wanted. I got it to go over my dining room table for when i am crafting, so i do not hurt the finish on my table.
