Before purchasing this laptop stand I read the reviews on Amazon, a few of which were negative. I disagree with the negative reviews. I am using this stand with a 15” laptop. The laptop fits perfectly on this stand and it is sturdy. It is VERY easy to open and close. In one of the reviews someone mentioned that it did not come with a carry bag...not true, it does come with a zippered carry bag. It also comes with a small shelf that is very useful for placing an external hard drive on. The only drawback with the shelf is that it has an open bottom and I couldn't place my external hard drive on it without the hard drive falling through. However, I remedied that issue by using Velcro straps, which I wrapped around the shelf and inserted the external hard drive inside of the straps to secure it (see pictures). Also, the shelf came with only ONE cotter pin to secure it to the stand. The carry bag that it came with had a tear, which I believe was going to continue to get worse. Because of this I contacted Amazon regarding this issue. Unfortunately, a replacement could not be sent out for just the carry bag, so a replacement for the entire stand was sent out to me. When I received the replacement, I noticed that it came with TWO cotter pins to secure the shelf to the stand. So, if you order this stand and it comes with one cotter pin, be sure to contact Amazon about the additional cotter pin. In summary, this stand is light, sturdy, easy to open and close and is a great bargain for the price.

I recently had a different stand fall apart on me and searched for a replacement. This unit is perfect as a riser for my laptop while DJing. I like the little shelf but won't often use it. This is sturdy, simple, and is a good size. Very happy with this purchase.

This is exactly as described. Easy to assemble, very sturdy, and it is an at 80 degree angle (despite what an odd review or two I read had stated). I moved the two bottom rear rubber slipguards from the bottom metal footers and placed them directly under the rear bottom round plastic joint-connectors because that was better for making the entire stand grip to the desktop surface. So, as you can see from the photos, I did not purchase this for use as the intended DJ laptop stand. Instead, I have two laptops in place for my odd work-from-home setup. Very pleased. I do not need to use the lower laptop screen often at all and need it only occasionally
