I love this table and bench set! I live in an apartment, and while it does have an eat-in kitchen, it's on the small side. This table and bench set is perfect for our space. My daughter put it together for us by herself in only an hour and a half, and she said it was very easy and straightforward. I also love that the benches fit neatly under the table to save space. It looks very nice and is sturdy. P.S. I've seen some reviewers saying the table is too small - if that's the case, it's YOUR fault for not paying attention to the dimensions! The Amazon listing clearly states that it's 47 inches by 28 inches. So it's your responsibility to measure your space and pick a table that's the right rize for the space you have. If you have a huge kitchen or dining room or a large family or you entertain a lot, then of course you'd need a larger table.

The photos appear to have a 1.5 in table top and bench top. The tabletop and bench top are 0.6 in. The construction was straightforward and remember to tighten the bolts snug, and then go at least another half to one turn. However, do not overtight or you could pull out the receiving fastener. Also, if you're table or bench is wobbling and not level. That means you tightened the bolts on a non-flat surface or it is on a non-flat surface. You need to place the table and the bench on a flat surface then tighten the side panel leg bolts into the cross pieces. Otherwise the table or bench will not be square. It is very sturdy and very square once constructed correctly. The rustic veneer is absolutely fabulous. I added some industrial velcro to the bench legs and surfaces, and turned it into a desk with shelving unit. However, disclaimer: do so at your own risk. Although, it is very level and stable. If you desired, you could also use an angle bracket to connect the repurposed bench shelving unit to the wall. Again I wish they had a thicker 1.5 in tabletop and bench top and would pay additionally for such a thing. Nonetheless, it is a great table and bench set.

Pros: - looks great - affordable - table legs have adjustors!!! Cons: - poor packaging - poor manufacturing - table a little flimsy First issue once opening the box was the way the table and chair parts were packaged. Several of the pieces were loose and no longer where they started. This included the wooden chair seats, which were also not covered in plastic as all of the metal pieces were. They were a little scuffed up, but nothing major. Next was assembly. Pretty straight forward, except for poor manufacturing. Several of the bolt holes did not want to take the bolts and had to be started with the wrench rather by hand--always scary as cross threading is possible. All but one of them went just fine and could be finished by hand once started. The one exception had to be forced all the way with the wrench and is most definitely cross threaded. The really big issue was one of the chair seat supports. See attached pic. The two frame pieces directly under the seat interlock. One of them had the notch cut in the wrong place and would not line up with the mounting holes. I had to widen the notch with a hacksaw to make it work. Finally, once all was assembled the chairs seemed sturdy, but the table frame flexes a little. I don't think it's going to collapse, but it's noticeable and a little concerning nonetheless. All in all, I would have sent it back but was on a time crunch and needed the table ready for use more than I needed it to be perfect. I managed to get it assembled and it looks great and functions OK so far, but if you want something high quality and super sturdy you're better off spending more money on something else. But for the low price...worth it???

This table set is perfect for a small area, my son put it together for me. One of the legs, was a little off, but he was able to fix it so he kept it. It’s really nice. The barstools were easy to put together. everything was easy to put together. The price is amazing

chair legs were bent not the same size so the chairs were wobbly, screws or holes were already stripped so couldn’t screw in properly. it’s a pretty table but maybe i got the bad one of the batch

I loveeedddd this table when I had it! I kept it for a while for my one-bedroom apartment but when moving into my new home it was too small for the space and so I ended up selling it. This set is SO sturdy, very beautiful, and honestly had more room for people than I expected. Depending on the size of the people you could comfortably have 4 -6 people sitting at the table (adults). I even had a craft night with my nephew and his friends who are children as well as my "little" (I am a BIG with Big Brothers Big Sisters) and her friends and everyone was able to be comfortable and have a good time with good arm room. There were 5 total people excluding myself in both of those situations, If you are looking for something of value at an affordable price point be sure to try out this set. It is for sure worth it. I maintained the set for about a year just before I relocated and sold the piece. It was harder to part with than you would probably expect.
