Difficult to set up, and the middle front speaker aka the projector, sounds hollow and cheap compared to the rest of the speakers. (Which you need for all the sounds to work "right"). Certain sounds and frequencies come out crackling. Awol vision has asked for a recording. But I've been unable to get it recorded as it's random and doesn't show up on the recording. I wasted a ton of time getting it to what I think is right because the awol vision video that shows the set up is out dated. The settings on the sound system are different than what the show you is what I'm saying. Get it for less than a 1000 if you can. Otherwise dont bother. Wish I could get a partial refund for my wasted time. I spent days on this thing like an idiot. ... show more

I just received my thunderbeat speakers and they sound amazing. I had a small hiccup during my setup and called for help. The customer service is more than amazing, I spoke with Adam and after patiently listening to my problem, immediately jumped into trouble shooting mode. He walked me through step by step instructions until my set up was complete. I know this sounds more like a customer support review instead of a speaker review but that just how impressed I was with Adam. The speakers are amazing now that it's up and running properly. This system replaced my Bose lifestyle system and to be honest I will not go back to Bose. Another thing that makes this system awesome it the wireless feature. I no longer have to worry about trip hazards or hiding places, just plug and go. ... show more

It was a pretty easy set up.. I’m not tech savvy so it took me a second to figure out why it wasn’t. That was mostly switching the sound on the projector. But great quality worth the price and sounds great on movie nights

Awesome sound. I am moving away from a dual speaker set up that was pretty loud. What it did not do was create a sound stage or output the amount of bass that these do. I am very happy. Set up was super simple and fast. After unpacking, all I had to do was plug in the HDMI dongle into the the TV's ARC port, give it power (I chose to just use the TV's USB port), and the plug in the speakers to a power outlet. I literally had it fully set up in 5 minutes. There are additional cables in the box for auxiliary sound sources but I didn't bother with that. The speakers are well made and solid. not cheap in material, look, or design. Quality straight out of the box. The only down side is the remote. It does not have dedicated bass, treble, or volume buttons for the rear speakers. The manual suggests the functionality is there via the settings button but I couldn't figure out how that actually works. When I hit the settings button, nothing happened, when I then hit the volume button, the sound went of for a second each time I pressed it. I just do not understand how to confirm which mode I am in in order to control those modes. All of this being said, I can't say these are the best speakers I ever heard, but they are 10x better than my Yamahas. Even my wife loved them after hearing them. They do not look as nice though...I guess that is another complaint. lol. What I am going to absolutely love is being able to just move these out onto my deck for outdoor movie night! I can add the one star I took off just thinking about it--but I won't. Four solid stars and well worth it. ... show more
