I live on a hill in a rural area and it gets very windy here. My front porch isn't covered and stays in full sun from about 10am until dusk, so I ordered this in hopes of getting relief from that so that we can enjoy the porch. My boyfriend put it together and it looks great! The feet have holes for securing the awning in place so he secured the frame to our porch with screws. The awning looks great! Since we cannot secure it to the home other than screwing the feet to the deck, the frame does have some wobble to it so only time will tell on the sturdiness. ... show more

The product is pretty sturdy, but there are a few problems and dislikes. The instructions are not clear. Too simple and not step by step. Had to figure it out by making mistakes. Also, that next day after putting it up, we had an unexpected downpour. The rain water accumulated in the top pockets.there is supposed hols as you can see in one of the pictures but the water accumulated in other places and not in the area of the drain holes. Installed this product for $100, then as soon as a rainfall (2-3mins) happened, the middle bracket snapped in half!!! Talked to several Amazon reps that said had to be returned even though it's brackets and poles varies in lengths, there was no UPS driver that would pick it up!! Then when I called Amazon, they told me to wrap up the poles with tapes and drop off to CVS UPS Access Point, in which they're not sure if UPS will take it because it's so many different parts!!
