I've used a lot of different versions of this kind of exercise equipment over the years. This is pretty good quality, sturdy and easy to assemble. Is it professional grade? Who knows, I don't work out professionally. But it is good for an older guy of 57 to stay toned and slim. It would be nice to have a booklet of exercises with it for those new to resistance bands.

Because of my personal situation I have to do a notable percentage of my workout using resistance band, there fluid motion and ease of adjustability suit my needs well. This system from Awaiymi comes with a lot of options. There are 2 individual handles, a t-bar that can be used for hands or feet, special padded foot attachment and a door anchor. The resistant bands are covered in a flexible cloth giving them a nice finished appearance. The ends of the bands are terminated in a smooth plastic housing, lending even more to the refined look. Also included is what looks like a giant double-ended squishy box wrench (the image in the listing shows it to be steel grey but the one I received was powder blue instead). It's supposed to be used for behind the back exercises, but with very little resistance it doesn't really give you much. With the different handle and configuration options you can pretty much do any type of workout your mind is able to concoct. You'll need to use your imagine too because there is no documentation included. While that's not an issue when it comes to putting the thing together, it does potentially limit the number of exercises to what you can envision yourself or find on the internet. Some type of reference would be nice as there are a lot of exercise variations you can do with a system like this, not all of which are intuitive. The "pedalswith" foot rings are snug for my size 11 feet, and that's without wearing anything on them. Put on a pair of sneakers and they don't fit at all. You can use it barefooted though as they are pretty comfortable. Independently the bands don't feel particularly difficult to stretch, but once you start to add a few they do offer some good resistance. If you're serious with your workouts I'm not sure even all 4 would suffice, but for those looking at expending a medium amount of exertion this set is a good option. The rating of 4 stars is due primarily to the value proposition. The set seems to be well made, and is not too expensive, but a few curious omissions and design choices made me deduct one star.

This Awaiymi Resistance Band Kit comes with a versatile range of accessories and thus ways to use it. It even includes an additional light-duty (light blue) rubber band with built-in handles that, even with its lighter resistance, can be quite useful, particularly with dynamic stretching, where you move through a range of motions as opposed to static stretching where you stay in one position for several seconds, although the band could work well with the latter, as well. The heavier expansion sleeve covered bands are individually equipped with their own pear-shaped snap clips so you may find it handy to have two different setups ready to go with the different accessory handle types, given plenty of snap clips, or you can of course, just use any combination of 1 to 4 bands at once to customize the resistance to your needs. All the accessories are soft and pliable making the kit easy to stuff in a bag, as well as easy on bare hands and feet, etc. In fact, I have found that I like to use all four bands with the standard hand-held handles and then extend my leg with the centered bands looped below the arch of my bare foot (for a nice hamstring and glute stretch) which the soft expansion fabric comfortably accommodates well for. As with any elastic band type setup, the caveat is that your resistance increases and decreases dramatically, depending on what position you are in throughout the range of motion, so they definitely have some inherent limitations and are really most effectively used with static isometric type, extended holds as opposed to full range repetitions. When used that way, you can really tax your muscles with the time under tension. To get a workout throughout the full range of a typical motion, you will be better off doing partials. In other words, you can break a full range curling motion into three or four short segments and do isometric or very short range reps with lots of tension by how you configure the resistance bands. Hooking them to a fixed object and then positioning your body in a way to get the most resistance for each segment of a range of motion would be an ideal way to get the most out of your bands.

This is a great exercise product for what it is and does. With these types of products that have bands, there is a certain amount of discomfort or annoyances. Anyone that has used these types of products are aware of this. This has nothing to do with price as these same or similar discomfort and annoyances come with even the most expensive Boflex units. When you have wires or bands, they usually come in contact with your body at times and can be annoying or uncomfortable. That being said, this is the best cheap band system I have ever used. At around 250 lbs and with a strong build, simular to a linebacker, I find the band tension very good. I like to use it for triceps and biceps. To me, it seems like each band is around 12 lbs. It seems as it would be excellent for those who just want to tone or even build muscle with a single arm curl of around 50 lbs with all four bands. This product is very versatile and all accessories are strong and extremely comfortable. I like this product because it can be used for anyone to just tone up with little but good tension = 1 band to even those who need more tension, and seeking to build good muscle. The great thing about this exercise unit, is it can soot the needs of pretty much anyone on any budget and be stored away in any drawer. Great product at a great price!
