    • Very good grinder for the price!
This grinder reminds me of the first grinder I purchased over 30 years ago. It's a good, solid, grinder that will serve the average DIYer very well. It doesn't have some of the features of the modern, pro-level grinders, but it's much, much less expensive. Some examples of differences between this and more modern, high-end grinders are the wheel guard and the spindle lock. The wheel guard requires a screwdriver to adjust and the spindle lock requires an included wrench. So if you're the kind of person who goes through discs quickly or changes angles often then the modern "toolless" setups are faster and more convenient. The average user will need to make these adjustments a few times per year, maybe less. Another difference is the handle. It screws into one of three positions. Some of the modern ones are quick adjust across 180 degrees. However, the unit is solid, well-balanced, and appears to be well-made. There doesn't seem to be a significant "torque impact" where the grinder tries to spin out of your hand. It grinds well and didn't heat up in the testing that I did with it. I like the locking on/off switch but if you're left-handed it might be an issue as it's designed for a right-handed person to thumb-operate. Overall, a very good grinder at a very good price. Although I just received these and haven't done actual work with it to give a fair and honest opinion, it performed very well in my tests. It feels solid and sturdy, which were things that I was worried about since I am very skeptical of off-brand tools. Will it live to my expectations? I am not positive about that yet, but if feeling can be trusted sometimes, it very well might. 10 Amps is very good for its size and price. So far I have only one "complaint". It is wired, which does not give you a lot of flexibility. On the other hand, you won't run out of power, and for the cost, it is an excellent deal, especially considering that the included accessories would cost almost as much as an angle grinder from some known brands. ... show more

I'm not a pro when it comes to power tools... I just like to have some equiptment around for simple do it yourself projects and home upkeep. I got this grinder to remove the splintered paint from the weathered picnic bench in my backyard before repainting it. It is easy to use and served my purpose. I don't mind that it has a cord - i just used an extension cord to be able to use it out in the yard AND I didn't have to worry about recharging batteries. For me the reasonable price made this a great investment to my little collection of tools i keep in my garage for small projects. ... show more

It's certainly a lot more grinder than the cheap harbor freight versions (high-end harbor freight are decent). It's working at a commercial shipyard without complaints so far.

This is a very nice angle grinder kit. The price would be reasonable even if just the bare grinder were in the box, but it includes multiple sanding flap disks, grinding wheels and cut-off wheels. Plus gloves and safety glasses. At 10 amps, this grinder is more powerful than much of the competition. Many less expensive angle grinders are available on Amazon, but most of them are less than 10 amps. I do see a Bosch 10A model for just $3 more, but it seems to come with no accessories at all. Other 10A Bosch models on Amazon are $77-$89. I'm very pleased with this grinder and its price. ... show more

I like this kit with the grinder and 2 grinding wheels, 4 cut-off wheels and 3 flap wheels. But it's far from the price leader. For example, it costs twice as much as the equivalent Skil tool, although that only includes one grinding wheel. On the other hand, it's 35% cheaper than the professional brands. ... show more

This is an impressive angle grinder with lots of features for a darn good price. Having an assortment of disks and wheels for it is great. It comes with 5 Cutting Wheels, 3 Grinding Wheels and 2 Flap Wheels making this a good deal. The 10 amp and 11,000 RPM is definitely a powerful combination. And the ability to have the handle in three different positions works well for whatever type of wheel you are using and the angle of use that you really need it for. This angle grinder is a nice find. It's surprisingly heavy, which I wasn't expecting. That being so, it should last for a few years. I'm fabricating pieces to an ion-wind drone (ionocraft) and have to cut precise pieces of stainless, aluminum, and copper; this performed flawlessly. The included blades and buff pad work, but it fits standardized attachments. This does the job, and will last for years to come. Perfect value for money. ... show more
