Easy to assemble if you follow the instructions - absolutely no issues - be careful attaching the main control block onto the seat - a little fiddle but easy if you don’t rush! I waited for 2 years on what chair to get to replace my 1980s style office chair that was probably older than me. I knew i didnt want a gaming chair because the racing seat design is for racing and not for sitting in front of a desk but thats another rant. This thing is solid, cushion is breathable so im not sweating after 10 minutes like the back is well supported with the movable lumbar thingy arm rests are about the only draw back as they are rock hard and not comfy nor that usable but then again my arms are usually on my desk soooooooo not a big deal for me. ... show more

    • Arm rests have no "Lock" in position, constant shift

Took me less than 2 minutes to take the chair back apart. The Armrests are advertised as 3D motion, and they are, front, back, left, right, you can do it all - except they never lock in place. So any slight movement, and your arm moves - just because I put pressure to my right side, doesnt mean i want the top of the armrest to shift to the right. I want to find a good location for them, and set them in place so I can get back to the proper sitting position easily. In the 2 minutes, it felt good - back felt really comfortable as did the head rest. Seat was a little hard, but nothing that couldn't be worked through, especially since i use a sit/stand, its a great motivator to stand up. Thought you could get something premium for $500, but still corners cut it seems. Guess there is a reason no one has dethroned the Aeron and they get to charge what they charge. Was really hoping for more, saw some really solid reviews on the company - but fell short in a fundamental way. ... show more

I liked this chair a lot but it just didn't fit me. I am 5'4" and although I could get the seat height right the lumbar support was always a couple of inches too high. The chair seemed well designed, well constructed, and was easy to use. Some things that I particularly liked: - Assembly was straightforward. They supply an excellent T-handle allen wrench which makes it go more quickly. - The seat pad was comfortable - The crank used to adjust the tension on the seat back was the best from among any of the chairs that I tried (at least 30 of them, offered by Costco, Sam's Club, OfficeMax, and Amazon). I didn't expect to use this feature but it worked so well that I found myself adding or removing tension from time to time in order to shift to different sitting positions. - The armrests have *less* adjustability than some of the others. Many armrests move around and require readjustment during use; actually I'd prefer it if you could lock all of the settings. The height locks on these but they still move foward and back or wider or closer apart. It worked pretty well during the two days I used this chair. - There were helpful videos on YouTube that I used to *disassemble* the chair. I ended up going with the following chair because it enabled me to adjust the lumbar support for a perfect fit. If I was a little taller this one would have worked, and it costs a bit less.     • Great Chair!
Very comfortable and has many adjustments to fit pretty much anyone. I am 240 lbs and can sit in this for a long time without issues. Having said that, the seat cushion could be a bit better. Definitely no regrets about this purchase. I did buy different (Rollerblade style) wheels for my flooring. Again, no regrets on this purchase, as I could not see paying $1000-$1300 for the Steelcase Gesture or the X-chair. I did a ton of digging and product reviews and I am very happy with this. UPDATED: I have been using this chair extensively since I purchased it. I have even been using it as a a great way to lift weights, (incline bench press), this chair is still as solid as the day I purchased it. Still very happy with the purchase.
