They will not focus. Everything is blurry. Unfortunately they were a gift and its past the time to return. Edit: The company worked with me on a refund but before walked me through some steps to fix the problem. The first few did not work and we had just 1 option left and it worked. Would have been better if that was shared earlier but they now work and are not blurry. If you have the same problem where they will not focus at all do this and see if it helps: If your focus is not clear, long press the magnification button until it reaches the maximum, continue to hold it and wait 10 seconds, the focus will be automatically reset. ... show more

The item arrived used with no wrapping. Pictures from the last owner were stored in the device. Received a replacement and once more, no wrapping, dirty screen and pictures from the last owner in device. Essentially these aren't binoculars, they are a video camera with night vision in the shape of binoculars! Even better! The screen is big and bright with good resolution. I can see my entire backyard in great detail when it is pitch black out. Some notable features include: two modes (switch between night vision and regular color), records still images and video at the touch of a button onto the included SD card, lots of zoom, smooth autofocus, and even include a 1/4" x 20 threaded hole for mounting on a tripod! My only two cons are I wish you could adjust the brightness level on the screen and the bag it comes in is merely a dust bag. It would be nice if it came in a more protective carry case. Got this as a gift for my dad for his birthday because he loves hunting. I just spoke to him asking what he thought about it after he took it with him hunting and he said he really liked the clarity and the range. His only question was whether he could attach a strap to it some home.

Pros: - color night vision, pretty decent - rechargeable - SD card for photos and video Cons: - a bit large and heavy, wish it was smaller - user controls bit hard to see (black on black) - viewer brightness in dark messes with your night vision - auto-focus is slow, sometimes misses the mark Overall, this is a great value. It has some minor issues, as above, but for the money, its pretty excellent. I've only used it to watch my street at night but I'm sure it has a lot of other uses. Nice to be able to shoot videos and take photos with it. Works great in the day as well as night. Only real annoyance is that the auto focus takes a few seconds sometimes at night, and sometimes does not find the right focal plane so you have to override it with some manual focus.
