I originally purchased another brand and had a fair amount of trouble getting it to function. Got their tech support but it took 4-5 days to actually get them to agree it was a faulty unit. Anyway got a refund and purchased this unit. Much easier to get operating. Install was a bit of a challenge as the monitor only works with a cigarette lighter plug. We have two vehicles, a 2024 and a 2025, neither has a lighter port anymore. I would think that they would have updated the product for a USB powered monitor. Had to order an adapter and now have probably 20' wire and attachments bundled up on the dash. The camera is mounted on the back of our 5th wheel trailer. It's mounted toward the top with the intent of making it easier to back into spaces. The angle of the camera is fairly limited. If you are backing in you can only see about 4' on either side of the trailer which is really only useful if you are straight in already. Also the camera is limited in the up/down adjustment by the mounting bracket. You can't raise the angle much more than 45 degrees which isn't very useful. Functionally the picture is clear with no flicker or connection noise. The reference lines are useless with the exception of the do give a reference. This is the first time I have ever used an after market backup camera and it's okay. I had an option of a GMC product that would integrate to the trailer management system of the truck. If I had it to do over I think I would have spent the extra $500. Update to Review - My original review was a 3 star do to the notes in it, I am updating it to a 5 star based on their exceptional customer service. I reached out to the supplier looking for a way to modify the power cable. It was shipped with the 12V lighter plug, so I had to buy an adapter to a USB since our truck does not have one. In doing this the power cable is a huge bunch of wire that is more in the way than anything else. When I contacted them they said that yes, there is a USB 8 pin power cord and they offered to send me one. I haven't received it yet but this should make a huge difference. I thought this was outstanding service but was really surprised when I got another email from Gigi in customer service regarding my original review. Gigi had read the original review and offered to send me the Solar 3A camera to add to the system. It is solar powered and mounts on the license plate holder. Since this system can accommodate 2 cameras it should enhance the usefulness of the system. I installed it yesterday, the instructions for pairing were very easy to follow and I had it mounted, paired and operating in about 10 minutes. The system now allows for use of the original or the second camera independently or together on a split screen. I haven't used it on a trip yet but looking at the view in our parking spot the new camera offers a wider angle in all 4 directions which should show you everything needed to safely back the 5th wheel into a spot. The original camera offers a good view of the bumper and immediate vicinity for depth. I would recommend that the company look at modifying a couple things with this product but I can't say enough good things about the company's service. It is one of the best service experiences I have ever had. If you are looking for a very good product fro an RV I think this is a great option. I would suggest ordering the second camera along with your initial purchase. The modified power cable hopefully will be available to order in their Amazon store shortly if your vehicle does not have a lighter power outlet.

Upon opening this camera, I found that it was relatively light weight. It makes sense since it doesn't contain any batteries. The screen was a little different style than I was used to. It is wider than it is taller. This is actually nice as I feel it takes up less of the windshield of my truck. When operating the camera, it appeared to provide me with a wider view than other I have used in the past. It is made of plastic, but it didn't feel like it was going to break without a lot of force applied to it. Overall, a decent camera for the price. Set up was relatively easy. I was able to pull it out of the box and put the few parts together such as the camera to the stand and connect the wires to their adapters for the 12V power system. Mounting the camera was a easy, but it does require effort. I did have to wire it into a 12V source. I used the wires for the backup lights. This provided the power to the camera when I go into reverse. It take a second or two to link up with the camera, but it works great. The camera connected as soon as both the monitor and the camera had power. I didn't have to configure it. Nice and easy. The monitor has the ability to record which could be nice. It can be turned on and off and it saves to the included SD card. I don't see myself recording a ton when backing up, but if the camera were mounted differently, I could see why someone may want to record with it. It can also add an additional camera if you needed two. It take something like 3 button presses to switch the input. It is relatively easy. There are also microphones on the display for when you are recording to have sound. One on each bottom side. The display was clear and it allowed me to backup and see what I needed to do it comfortably. The camera has a slight rotation on it allowing the operator to aim where I find it the most comfortable. It is stiff, but easy to move. I don't think it will bounce out of place. Time will tell. The camera and the display connected without any issue with my 20' trailer and the 8 or so feet of my truck. I would assume it could go further, but I didn't test it. The camera has the night vision on it. It works, but not as great as would like. However, what I would like is an image that mimics a clear bright day, but that is probably only on expensive cameras from what I have seen. I have used battery operated wireless camera's from this same company before, and they are great, but not having to charge batteries and move things around is a plus since this one permanently mounts.

I replaced a Furrion Vision S with this item. This is a much cheaper built unit, but functional and fits my needs. The first unit I received, I attempted to flash the firmware. I ended up bricking it. Support was helpful, but I had to get a new unit. I noticed that many review mentioned that you could not adjust the camera angle high enough. I had a similar problem. The solution was pretty easy. I took the camera off its pivot mount to skip over the blocking section and reattached. Now it is adjusted to see behind the camper effectively. I also noticed the monitor was rattling in the truck. Turns out the little menu buttons were loose. I was able to resolve by placing some stickers over the buttons to dampen the rattle and still use the buttons. FInal issue was I could not use my old Furrion side cameras. When using the looking for specific info option, It said I could use them. Overall, this is an economical solution and fortunately I was able to resolve my issues. Maybe 3 stars?
