Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I actually have another model of solar wireless backup camera by the same company, which also took 5 minutes to install on my 2005 Honda Pilot. However, that model needs to take up space on both the top and the bottom of the license plate because the camera and the solar panel are separated. While the backup camera installation was super easy and worked extremely well, the camera that was installed on the top of the license plate got in the way of the hatch handle for the trunk. My car does not have automatic hatch open button so I have to always manually open the hatch with the handle but the camera was basically blocking the handle and it was very tight space to put my hand up there. When I saw this TW1 model, I knew right away that this would solve that problem because the solar panel would just mount on top of the camera and it would take up just one side of the license plate. Please note that this TW1 model does not come with the solar panel so you would need to purchase it separately. The installation was even easier and simpler than my other one. It really does take 5 minutes or even less to install this backup camera and you don't need to drill or wire anything! Simply amazing design. This TW1 model can also connect to 2 cameras but it only comes with 1 camera so I guess you would have to buy extra camera separately. The video quality is sharp and crisp. It appears to be the same camera resolution and quality as the other model, including the LCD monitor. I gave my other backup camera to my younger brother who has really old sedan without a backup camera and he loves it. There's no hatch handle on his sedan so he didn't have the problem that I did. I highly recommend this solar wireless backup camera to anyone who has a car without backup camera. It's now a law for every car manufacturer to have a backup camera in the car because this is a must have for safety. If you have older car without backup camera then look no further because you can now have one in just 5 minutes! I installed the camera on the license plate holder on my AirStream Base Camp travel trailer. I was hoping the signal strength would be sufficient to allow me to view the road behind the trailer as it was being towed and to allow me to back the trailer without a spotter. According to the manufacturers description it appeared the reception on the viewer, at the required distance, could be marginal. Actually it is just fine. Great and uninteruppted viewing. I have a 2007 Ford Explorer and this is the 3rd backup camera system I have had. It was very easy to install. The last one I had to connect to my brake light wiring which actually was not that difficult. The monitor view is excellent. There is almost no comparison to the previous units in this regard. There is one trade-off. Unless you are just starting the car up, it doesn't automatically turn the camera on when you are backing up. However you can always push a button to turn it on even when you are stopped or driving forward. I like this as sometimes I would like to see what's behind me when I am not reversing. The downside is that you sometimes have to remember to turn it on when you are backing up. I am sure I will get used to this. If it weren't for this issue I would have given it a 5 star rating but it does make it much easier to install. I could see for many people wiring it to the brake light wires could be a huge hassle. I have only driven once at night since I have had it but with the assistance of my backup lights the picture was excellent I had some questions for their customer service and they were extremely accessible and prompt at returning my emails. ... show more

Purchased this for a 2010 Toyota Camry (no backup cameras back then). All the wires you need are in the package. Packaging reminds one of opening up an Apple product. Easy to install, charged camera unit before installing via usb cord, then attached camera to rear license plate - either using the bolts attaching the license plate to the car, or any other side of the plate with the included double sided strong stick-on. Had to use this since placing camera above would have blocked the license plate lights. Plugged in 5 inch monitor to car cigarette lighter charger. Camera and monitor were already synced, although can sync manually if needed. Since I had to attach the camera at the bottom of the license plate had to re-orient the image (easy to do). Unit turns on whenever you start the car. One button to turn on the monitor, can adjust for 30-60-90 seconds on. Can adjust camera vertical angle by swiveling up /down.. Determine at home exactly how far objects in view really are before using anywhere ("self calibration"). Guidelines can also be turned on. For my car objects closest to me as seen on the monitor are about 1 foot away - I can't see my rear bumper but I know how far away the closest object is while backing up. Also that the leftmost objects in the monitor correspond to my left rear fender. At night, with some lighting image is probably on par with other rear view cameras that don't have night vision. The lights illuminating the rear license plate don't cause any flare in the image. Great customer service! There is a card in the package that mentions contacting customer service to 1) get extended warranty, and 2) get a free solar panel for charging the camera. Communicated with Emma via email - she extended the warranty from 12 to 18 months. The solar panel chargers were not in stock but she ordered them from China for me, to arrive in about 5-6 weeks.
