Product works as advetised. I used it to drill 4 holes in very dry, hard packed clay inside an old wooden shed I have and it had no issues. I used a DeWalt drill with a 8AH battery for power. The drill having reverse was a big help when I hit a root. The actual auger is just like any other one man augers I'ved used over the years. You have to hold on to it and yes if you hit a large rock or root it will twist in place just like all of them. It's a lot cheaper alternative to battery and gas powered augers.

Pretty cool and viable tool. Attaching it the drill is simple. Digging/drilling into the dirt was easy. Just like any tool, make sure you go slow. Roots will still get caught in the auger. But when you take your time, it will work great. I have used it in regular soil and sand, havent used it in anything tougher. Not sure how it will work there.

Sneaky no return. So first the unit itself is decant but mediocre welding but i needed to see it before i used it for a job. So got it, realized it wouldn't work but NEVER used it. So went to return it. Boom says you can't: Non-returnable. Transportation of this item is subject to hazardous materials regulation. This is hilarious its a piece of metal. No batteries, nothing that could explode... just a hunk of metal with a sleezy reason through amazon to make sure you don't. Look I understand, if its used its really hard to resell, but come on.

Works great. I use it sampling on the job site. It works best with a powerful cordless drill. Excellent product and at a very good price. I have tried to see how well it will dig a deeper hole and in sandy to medium clay soil I can go the full depth with ease. Do not recommend trying it in a very hard packed or rocky material.

Impressive. I used a Porter Cable 20v drill with ease. The sugar will not manage rocks well. But for soil it works very well.

This drill powered auger is very well built . I'm using it in the crawl space of my house installing cement footers and screw floor jacks and the ground is hard and difficult to work in . This drill powered auger made it a lot easier. I got the whole I needed 2 in a half feet deep. Trying to dig the wholes without this tool i only got about a foot deep before hard clay stopped me . The only issue I had was that the clip on the safety strap broke easily but customer service was great and sent me another one. If you have digging to do i recommend this.
