When I ordered this beast, I thought: “Ah yes, 2800 CFM! I will become a human popsicle!” What I got instead: What actually happened • Chill ≠ Cool Sure, the specs scream “powerful cooling” with that 8.2-gal tank and high CFM. Problem is, after 30 minutes, I felt like I was lounging next to a broken fan in the Sahara. The evaporative “cool” mode might exist in some parallel universe, but it’s not on my living room floor. • Fog machine, not fan machine With all that water sloshing inside, plus the “ice packs” they send (which melt into sad puddles), you end up with humidity so thick you could swim in it. My hair frizzed, my papers curled, my dog gave me side-eye. • Remote control or cosmic joke? The remote feels like it was invented to mock you. Buttons work if they like you that day. Sometimes I hit “high speed” and it coughs once. Other times medium feels like hurricane force. Consistency: zero. • Timer = “Wait 8 hours and find out” The 12-hour timer looked promising. But after using it overnight, I woke up sweating, the unit off, the room still hot. Is it the timer, the power draw, or gremlins stealing electricity? Who knows. • Portability hype “No ducts or windows,” “360° rolling casters” they say. Great, when they’re not getting stuck on a carpet seam or rattling like a toddler’s toy. There’s nothing quite like dragging this thing across tile and hearing every plastic creak like a horror movie. • Build quality: budget cardboard pretending to be tech Thin plastic, loosely assembled panels. The touch panel feels flimsy, oscillation has more wobble than a baby learning to walk, and the ice pack compartment leaks if you even eyeball it wrong. Who might it work for Someone who doesn’t mind feeling like they’re living inside a damp sauna and is ok being faintly disappointed. Someone whose expectations are low (like “lets just blow some air”). But if you want solid cooling performance, don’t hold your breath — or your wallet. Final verdict: It looks nice, it promises a lot, but delivers a lukewarm breeze and buyer’s remorse. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Save up, get a real air conditioner — or at least something that keeps your sweat glands from revolting.

This unit performs exceptionally well, cool the garage by 10° in a matter of minutes. I did have an issue with 2 of the freezer packs. I contacted the seller, with Amazon's assistance, and the seller promptly corrected the issue. I Highly Recommend this product and seller. Sorry, buying this was a mistake. It cannot replace an AC. It can work with an AC to help it get colder, but not on its own. Wanted to return it but because it was third party seller, you have to pay for the shipping. Which was priced more than the purchase price for this cooler. No wander they called it a swamp. I don’t know but better buy an AC window type or one of those things you can move around. That would work better. Sad I made a mistake of ordering this thing.
