  • Great value!
This might be one of the best sounding record players under $300 I’ve ever heard. Like many other people I made the terrible mistake of getting one of those terrible brief case players that are available at Walmart or urban outfitters, let me tell you Ive got an rca cable from the player to a 12 inch Rockville speaker and it sounds way better than that disgrace of a record player. In the image above is a copy of Nirvana bleach and the first two songs on each side skip on the brief case player and they don’t on this one at all. Couldn’t recommend more!!! ... show more

  • Works well with a great price
A great priced player that works well and makes for a great beginner player. This is vastly better than the Crosley or Victorola suitcase players.

  • SUPER beginner friendly - loving it!
Paired with Edifier speakers, I had a little trouble with set up because I'm new to vinyl records / turntables, but it was easy to fix & everything sounds great! Super beginner friendly, automatic option is a 1-button press to start music with manual option for more advanced playback. Super happy with the brown color I got as it matches the stand & speakers perfectly. Highly recommend, very giftable & a great starter turntable by my standards! ... show more

  • Super solid, just need to get external speakers, which you should do regardless
Love how it has auto stop, great sound quality, definitely get a replacement mat, the one it comes with sticks to the records because of static.

  • Great price and reliable, missing a couple of important features
This turntable is great for the price. The onboard preamp and cartridge sound quite good, the platter speed is stable, and the controls work simply. A couple of downsides- the first one is that there's no tonearm lock. You are expected to keep and replace a twist tie on the tonearm if you want to move the unit without damaging the needle. The second downside is that there is no downforce adjustment or anti-skate. This is ok for a basic turntable, fortunately mine tracks well, but if you have a problem record that you want to listen to without it skipping, you're stuck. More expensive turntables give you a lot more tonearm capability. However, this unit works great with a fresh clean record and so for the price it's probably the best option under $200, plus you don't need a phono preamp. ... show more

  • Best affordable fully automatic turntable
I wanted to play my old record collection and I've got some nifty radio-phono systems from the fifties & sixties that have record changers, a product no longer made. So for fun I wanted to get a more modern player with the automatic start and stop that is the neat function of the old record changers, but of course this only plays one record, not a stack. 15 years ago I have a very expensive turntable, but retired that system when I moved. So it's nice to get a good turntable at a good price, but I don't have to manually start and stop the record. I use this with a new powerful Sony tuner-amp, nice Pioneer speakers and it sounds great. If you are not into the more expensive turntables and also want to avoid the cheap "toy" ones, this is the model to get. One note: the clear plastic lid is very fragile, so be extra careful with it. Why A-T doesn't use a more durable plastic with a little give, must be a cost thing, but I do remember the turntables from the 1980s that had much stronger plastic dust covers, usually tinted. Oh well, just be careful or it will crack, chip or break. Mine arrived with a chipped corner, but A-T was very quick to replace it. I suspect it was bumped somewhere between manufacturing and putting it in the box. They make this model in several colors; I bought the cheapest one, I didn't care what color it was. My tuner has Bluetooth so no need to buy a Bluetooth turntable. ... show more

  • Easy set up for great sound quality
I'm no expert when it comes to turntables, but this was a breeze to set up and connect to my speaker system. It has little of the crackling or jumping my old turntable had, the dust cover keeps it in great condition, and it looks great. For a mid-level turntable, this is the way to go.

  • Rough start but all works wonderfully now.
Neither the "start button" nor "stop button" work and when the needle arm gets back to the holder the table continues to run. No way to turn it off beyond unplugging it. The sound quality is AMAZING, but 2/3 of the features don't work. I have to plug it in to start it because there is not "stop". I have to use the "up and down" feature to get it to go to the album by hand. When it is done playing, it just runs. Doesn't lift when it hits the last part of the LP and doesn't stop when the arm is placed back in the holder stand. OK, I got it to work. I forgot I am a retired Mechanical Engineer for a minute and expected it to work out of the box. I took it apart and reset everything. The directions I got are missing many of the pages that are available on line through Audio-Technica. There are also a few videos on YouTube about how to reset everything. Would have cost me another $70 to get fixed at the local "electronics shop", and all it needed was a screw removed under the pan and a "move" of two plastic parts to reset them with the motor. All is well now and again, the sound is INCREDIBLE for such a "budget" device. I would recommend it for anyone willing to use a screw driver and be gentle. All buttons and features now work wonderfully 5 albums later. Great product. ... show more
