  • Cute lil audio interface.🤗
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
Great mini audio interface. I like my audio interfaces to have a nice compact design and this delivered on that for me. Getting rid of my other one due to wanting everything to be either USB-C or thunderbolt 4 and above based connections.

  • Just what I wanted
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
I was using the Komplete Audio 1 by Native Instruments but the main issue I had was if I wanted to work on music early in the morning and not wake up the neighbors, I would use my DT 770 Pro headphones, the only problem was I couldn't get them to play very loud since I don't think the Komplete Audio device had a good headphone amp (if any at all). The Audient ID4 MKII has MORE than enough power to make my headphones loud. I also like the mute button. I just wish the mute button was on the large volume knob but not a big deal. The ID4 also feels great and feels sturdy and well made. I am definitely not returning this. I just wish I bought it today as it is not $10 cheaper than when I bought it. ... show more

  • My Struggle To Get Good Audio Is Over! Absolute Audio Bliss!
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
For three years I've been painfully struggling to get consistent studio quality audio using three other very-well-known brands of audio interfaces and field recorders. This morning was my first date with my new Audient iD4 MKII and I'm in LOVE! Same room, same mic... my trusty MKH 416, same Mogami XLR cable, same audio editor, TwistedWave, same MacBook Air, same DT770 PRO headphones. The only change was my new iD4 MKII. And my audio files need virtually no post processing! (My mic technique and room acoustics have been evaluated as pro quality by a nationally known audio engineer to voiceover talent.) It all came down to changing to an Audient interface! The only reason I bought the iD4 MKII is because I only need one mic input. I could kick myself for waiting three painful years to make the switch to Audient! Ultra-quiet, studio quality audio with just a touch of warmth for less than $200. After downloading and installing the iD4 drivers, the interface was truly plug and play on on MacBook Air. I'd rate the Audient iD4 MKII audio interface higher in every category if I could! ... show more

  • Sounds great.
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
This is great. Very low noise and provides great sound. The preamps are improved from previous models and sounds better overall than my evo 8 which I also love. Powers my sm7b just fine. Intuitive design. Impressed. My new favorite interface. Also for music production I've experience zero latency. Highly recommend. Update: one week after purchase I experienced deafening white hiss randomly when on 96khz. Seems a common problem after researching. Troubling. ... show more

  • Good specs, terrible implementation
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
This DAC/AMP combo looks great on paper, in fact, I bought it to replace my evo 4 due to the vastly superior headphone output, however, I have had nothing but issues with this thing. I would say it works about 30% of the time. Here are some of the major issues I have with this product: 1. The software is downright garbage, I tried using it but found that other reviews said to just uninstall it, so I did, and I'm glad I did because it was useless. 2. It has power issues. It seems like it has to negotiate for what type of power to receive from the USB C port, because sometimes I got seriously bad clipping and distortion at higher volumes, and could fix it by unplugging the unit and plugging it back in, allowing it to reach the full power level. 3. Mic doesn't work at 96kHz at all, despite it working fine on my evo 4. Also, when the mic does work, sometimes it will just randomly stop working and have to be disabled in windows and re-enabled. 4. Volume knob is fully digital, has to be reset every time you reboot unit, and turning down the volume in windows does not turn down the DAC volume, and the opposite is also true, so you have dual volume control and it's not needed. 5. The scroll button... Why on Earth is there a button to make the volume dial act as a scroll wheel? Who wants that? An input mute button would have been far better in my opinion. I ended up returning this just a few days after receiving it. I will keep my evo 4 for now, it's so much better in terms of software and the "just works" factor. ... show more
