  • My Struggle To Get Good Audio Is Over! Absolute Audio Bliss!
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
For three years I've been painfully struggling to get consistent studio quality audio using three other very-well-known brands of audio interfaces and field recorders. This morning was my first date with my new Audient iD4 MKII and I'm in LOVE! Same room, same mic... my trusty MKH 416, same Mogami XLR cable, same audio editor, TwistedWave, same MacBook Air, same DT770 PRO headphones. The only change was my new iD4 MKII. And my audio files need virtually no post processing! (My mic technique and room acoustics have been evaluated as pro quality by a nationally known audio engineer to voiceover talent.) It all came down to changing to an Audient interface! The only reason I bought the iD4 MKII is because I only need one mic input. I could kick myself for waiting three painful years to make the switch to Audient! Ultra-quiet, studio quality audio with just a touch of warmth for less than $200. After downloading and installing the iD4 drivers, the interface was truly plug and play on on MacBook Air. I'd rate the Audient iD4 MKII audio interface higher in every category if I could! ... show more

  • Cute lil audio interface.🤗
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
Great mini audio interface. I like my audio interfaces to have a nice compact design and this delivered on that for me. Getting rid of my other one due to wanting everything to be either USB-C or thunderbolt 4 and above based connections.

  • Quite good
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
Its a good interface, but it is not plug n play. Expect to do some research if audio interfaces are new to you. The gain knob is very nonlinear; past 3:00 position and it massively boosts gain. Seems to be very clean gain (up to ~60db max), but be wary of microphone boominess. The LED indicator rings around the gain knobs do not seem to work on my model, I read that they plan to do a firmware update to correct this. Gain staging is kind of a pain without being able to physically see when the mic is clipping. ... show more

  • Just what I wanted
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
I was using the Komplete Audio 1 by Native Instruments but the main issue I had was if I wanted to work on music early in the morning and not wake up the neighbors, I would use my DT 770 Pro headphones, the only problem was I couldn't get them to play very loud since I don't think the Komplete Audio device had a good headphone amp (if any at all). The Audient ID4 MKII has MORE than enough power to make my headphones loud. I also like the mute button. I just wish the mute button was on the large volume knob but not a big deal. The ID4 also feels great and feels sturdy and well made. I am definitely not returning this. I just wish I bought it today as it is not $10 cheaper than when I bought it. ... show more

  • Pairing with cloudlifter to power SM7B
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
I use it only for single mic Shure SM7B. Without cloudlifter I feel like there is not enough gain. With CL-1 I keep gain at about 80% and get a strong sound. I like this preamplifier for a veeery low noise floor and clean signal.

  • A great product with a terrible software
Pattern Name: Audio Midi Interface
When it works, it works great, but it absolutely has problems. Build quality and sound quality are great! The associated iD app is quite useless and actually caused me severe problems and functions better with the app closed. The app had a tendency to abruptly DESTROY the audio at any time. It would, at random, once every now and then, TURN THE VOLUME TO FULL as well as ultra-compress and distort the audio greatly, with a loud static background to boot. Hopefully this bug is patched because it will give you an absolute heart attack when your audio abruptly goes as loud as the device will allow and be as distorted as a 2012 deep fried MLG meme. The sample rate setting is also extremely buggy and can occasionally reset itself, this is also due to the app and can be set and used without the app. On an extra note, the mute speakers button and the iD button on the front do absolutely nothing, which is a shame. This is probably ALSO associated with the software, which is very annoying. A great product, sadly combined with absolute software gore and whenever they fix it, the product will be perfect! You can, and should, use it without the app if you encounter issues. (You do still need the driver, I think) 11/10 potential, would love to hear from Audient if I’m the first to report this issues and if they are working on fixes. I DO still recommend it, just needs a bit of debugging. ... show more
