The media could not be loaded. So this is my first laser engraver/ cutter. After researching online for almost a month I decided to go with AtomStack. My reasons for purchasing this machine versus its competitors came down to reviews, price and everything that comes with it. I purchased the A20 Pro that came with the air assist and the rotary. Most of all the competitors machines didn’t come with the air assist or the rotary. Not only that, AtomStack machine was less expensive and when I checked out they gave me a discount with a savings of close to two hundred dollars off my purchase when they was already less expensive then all the competition. My shipment came in early. It was packaged very well. Lots of foam cushioning. The directions was ok. The QR code video helped out a lot. There is one part misprinted in the instructions book. The direction to put the bracket that holds the laser needs to be inserted from the rear not the front. The video is correct showing that. Other than that I had it up and running in no time. I’ve only had it for 4 days but I have learned the machine and have been practicing. This machine engraves and cuts with no problem. I forgot to mention AtomStack has a 20 watt laser while most others have a 10 watt laser. Long story short. Money well spent. I will definitely do a update after I get more projects done. ... show more

    • All in all a Good machine, few issues
The biggest complaint i have with this machine is how hard it is to line up laser engravings from a center point. If your gcode has a 0,0 that is in the center of your design to be burned... manually lining up the laser is a major pain! Also, The method the designers came up with to move the laser up and down is HORRIBLE! it is a screw that tightens onto metal and the height and angle moves while you tighten the screw. **this laser has worked well for me... for that i am happy with it... but getting the laser lined up in the exact same spot each time so you can repeat your results is pretty hard without customizing something to hold both the laser frame as well as what you are burning... **and even with that, the height mechanism tightening screw makes it impossible to get it exactly the same. I gave it 4 stars because i use it a lot and have learned to just deal with the results. ... show more

    • Does not work with the app
Advertised as working with a downloadable app. The machine comes with WIFI hardware, but NOT the necessary firmware to use it. The instructions say to download and install the new firmware. It was easy to download the firmware, but the instructions say to install an app first: MKSLasertool and use that app to load the firmware to the machine. The firmware download does not include MKSLasertool and all I get from Atomstack is repeated instruction to "Download the firmware." They ignore my questions about MKSLasertool. I have searched the internet. I can't find it. The machine WILL NOT WORK with the app. ... show more

    • R-30 must not be real??

This product performs reasonably well. It's build is good, the power enough for what I want. It's easy to assemble but the initial setup wasn't as easy as purported in the software area. Use GRBL to help with other paid programs. The problem isn't with this laser but the added promise of an R-30. The real issue is in obtaining the so-called R-30. In September I ordered one from the company itself which was postponed and postponed and so on. The credit card company contacted and after 45 days solved the issue, money finally returned from Atomstack, but a difficult process at best. If you are expecting this product perhaps you might consider the aforementioned discussion. Perhaps other companies might have a similar R-30 product, otherwise, be prepared to toss $500 USD, then pray, fight for return money back, and questionable product supply. I haven't unpacked this one completely yet but I did pull the main components out to check. From what I can tell it seems ok. This is my third atomstack machine I have an a5 an a10 pro and now this machine. They all have arrived in great condition so far and have held up great for me. So, I have the AtomStack A5 Pro and I love it. I soon realized that I needed a honeycomb platform for cutting. I bought the AtomStack version, thinking I'd stick with the brand. I should have read the description better. It's small. I can only fit 8"x12" stock on it's 210mm x 330mmsize which is fine for small projects. The AtomStack A5 Pro has a working area of 400mm x 410mm... why not a honeycomb table to fit that size? The clamps are useless. The get in the way of the laser head more often than not. And the magnets it came with are too weak to hold my 1/8 inch basswood at all. Waste of money. I just ordered a 500mm x 500mm honeycomb table to replace it. ... show more

    • do your reasearch
This is not for a Rookie, I have learned that the software and documentation SUCKS. they recommend two different vendors but the settings and how to do all the processes are very ambiguous. still have not found out several settings or how or what they need to be. Im very frustrated. it seems like a nice unit but without the documentation its a huge paperweight. ... show more
