    • Big machine, steep learning curve with the software

The Atezr is new on the market and competing with the big boys (xTool, etc) with this massive 24w laser cutter/engraver. The machine itself is very easy to put together thanks to the large, colorful, and understandable user's guide. Running the machine, however, has a fairly steep learning curve. It comes with a fairly basic offline controller box, but there's nothing in the manual on how to use it. Those who are coming over to lasers from the 3D printer world can figure it out fairly quickly but noobs could easily get lost. Lightburn software is the best tool to use with any laser and the Atezr supports it, and LaserGRBL, entirely. I'm still learning LB so can't speak on it too much. You WILL need an enclosure to protect your lungs. Lasers burn stuff and most burning stuff isn't good for you. You can buy a special enclosure made for lasers that have a UV "window" to look at your work safely but the P20 has a laser safety glass built into the front of the module that blocks a great deal of the laser light. The machine is also huge 25" x 27" so any enclosure will have to be huge. The special enclosures I've seen run into the 150-190 range but I also have a big Sovol SV04 IDEX 3D printer and a large Sovol enclosure that I used for the P20. A little trimming around the bottom strut support corners allows the Atezr to *just* fit. You won't need something a tall as the sovol enclosure to put the P20 in unless your running a camera, which I am, so the sovol enclosure has the height I need. First Atezr makes a nice diode laser engraver. It comes very well packaged and is relatively easy to assemble even for someone who has not had a laser before. The P20 is a basic but powerful machine. It does not have some of the options that some of the machines have that are newer to the market. However, it is extremely well built and engraves nicely. I have previously owned both an Atomstack and an Acmer laser. The problem with the machines is the support. Getting an answer requires an email NOT a phone call and then you wait. Atomstack did answer some of my questions but normally it was 2-3 days. Acmer never answered my questions. Atezr did answer a question regarding availability of a rotary chuck within 24 hours but has never answered a compatibility question regarding using another brand of a rotary chuck. So bottom line is that if you buy one of these laser engravers you are pretty much on your own. There are lots of user groups that provide most answers and are very willing to do so, but getting customer service or technical support after the sale is probably not going to happen. However, the Atezr P20 is a well built tabletop diode machine worthy of consideration for the hobbyist to small business user. ... show more

    • Fit my 5w laser engraver perfect
I added this to my 5w azter laser engraver and was very pleased with the results. It was fairly easy to put to get and attach my engraver. I can now work on a few projects that are longer and could not go before.

    • More Work Space
These are great for adding work surface which allows you to take on bigger projects. It is easy to assemble. If you can put the base machine together you can install this addition. They are sturdy and don't wiggle to much with the back and forth movement of the laser on the cross bar.
