  • ASUS Duo Pro 14: A Solid Performer with Dual Screen Innovation
I recently purchased the ASUS Duo Pro 14, and after a month of use, I'm impressed with its overall performance and innovative design. The laptop boasts a sturdy build, though it is on the heavier side. One notable feature is the dual-screen design, which, while impacting the keyboard and mouse pad positioning, provides an additional viewing area for CAD and video editor controls on the secondary display. Both screens exhibit excellent resolution and color quality, enhancing the overall visual experience. The dual-screen functionality is particularly useful for multitasking, allowing you to allocate specific tasks to each display. It's a game-changer for professionals working on complex projects. However, the laptop does tend to get a bit warm during extended use, making it less comfortable for lap use, especially in warmer seasons. This slight inconvenience is a trade-off for the powerful performance and dual-screen capabilities. I appreciate the thoughtful placement of HDMI and power ports at the back of the laptop rather than on the side. This design choice minimizes cable clutter and ensures a clean workspace. It's a small detail but adds to the overall user experience. While the ASUS Duo Pro 14 may not be your go-to ultra-portable, super-slim laptop, its 14.6" screen strikes a reasonable compromise between size, mobility, and performance. The laptop feels smaller than 15.5" counterparts, making it more manageable for on-the-go professionals who find larger laptops cumbersome. One commendable aspect of my experience was the responsive and helpful support provided by Asus when I had questions. This level of customer service adds to the overall satisfaction of owning an ASUS product. In conclusion, the ASUS Duo Pro 14 is a well-built laptop with powerful performance and an innovative dual-screen design. While it may not be the most portable option, it strikes a balance between size and functionality, making it an excellent choice for professionals seeking a rugged and capable device. PS: A quick tip for ASUS Duo Pro 14 users – if you ever encounter an issue where the dual screen stops working and disappears from the settings entirely, there's no need to panic. It happened to me during an OS upgrade, and it turned out there's a button conveniently located next to the power button that toggles the duo screen on and off. In my case, it may have gotten accidentally pressed or reset during hte OS upgrade, making it seem like the second screen was not recognized or even present in the system hardware. So, before reaching out for support, give that button a check – it might just save you some unnecessary worry and troubleshooting. ... show more

  • Great hardware... Terrible Experience
The computer is a beautiful piece of art. Spending 8+ hours trying to set up a "state-of-the-art" computer and getting constant update-failure errors angered me to no end. Finally had to use the "Windows" reset tool with the "cloud" download option to get it to finally update, and then it was another 2+ hours until the latest Windows version downloaded and was ready to install. ... show more

  • State of the Art Performance for Easy Travel
I bought this laptop to be an everything travel toolkit for a busy IT Professional. I do art and database dev and am more than pleased with the performance capabilities. Size: Perfect. Light yet the highest end screen at 14.5 inches. Performance: i9, 32GB, 1TB + USB4/TB4. Blows the top spec Surface Pro out of the water because it has a real i9 CPU and not the watered down version that Microsoft uses (what I used to carry). Competition: There really isn't any at this level. You'd have to go with the Surface Studio 2 to have the same CPU yet it's larger and heavier. Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060 8GB GDDR6 sits in the back whenever needed. Quality: Second to none. It's just what you expect at this level and this system delivers. Screen 1: 14.5-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) OLED 16:10 with Blue light protection Screen 2: 12.7" 2880 x 864 IPS-level For someone like me who needs portability yet power there is always a balance that you have to consider. You can't get small and powerful if you want an all day battery device. I need a system that will last most flights on a battery alone and if dialed in I can run it for almost 5 hours before I have to plug in. I would much rather have the lightweight powerhouse with the ability to extend by switching to a power saver mode when needed. Very few systems give you this option. Thanks Asus Engineers! ... show more

  • Amazing workhorse
Amazing product. Makes multitasking so easy. Laptop cooling is efficient, screen brightness is good, dimensions and weight is reasonably good. I like that in addition to the barrel connector for the charger, this also can be charged via the two USB c ports. Port selection is good. There are two USB C ports, a USB A port, a full HDMI port, a headphone port, micro SD slot. Battery life is very poor. But this is understandable given the dual screen setup. I can get at most 4 hours of light work. I can't stop explaining how much of a productivity increase one can get with this. However, the following cons are there. The asus pen 2.0 that shipped with it doesn't write properly. I bought a replacement pen froma different brand that works well. The touchpad is very small (understandable given the setup). However what's worse is that there is an unresponsive region at the borders of the touchpad which further reduces the usable area of the touchpad. This makes 3 finger gestures a nightmare. The default screen scaling factors for the bottom screen is limited to a max of 125%. This is insufficient to easily read the letters in there. Overall, it is a really cool gadget that definitely increases productivity after some getting used to. ... show more
