Overall the umbrella functions fine and while I wouldn't call it windproof, its design is to allow wind through it from the underside so it won't be as likely to damage the umbrella. But we get good gusts frequently and in the first few minutes of having it the umbrella was flipped inside out from the wind, but there wasn't a massive pull on it after so I see where the design comes in to relieve the extra stress. Otherwise it's a nice compact umbrella that has a dual function of opening and releasing the umbrella with the push of the open button. It's nothing ground breaking or new. But decent for a $17 compact umbrella that beats out the cheaper <$10 manual metal framed umbrellas that don't hold up to wind as well.

The 2 piece top on this umbrella is different. I haven't had much wind to test it. The rain doesn't get in the gap which is odd to me. I like how you push a button and yhe umbrella pops out to open. Closes and Wraps up easily. Overall good umbrella. Highly recommend

I really liked this umbrella more than the one at Walmart of Walgreens. For the price is super good. It is lightweight yet strong to hold a windy day. The rod supports look pretty sturdy. It has an easy holder and gentle. However, the button to open the umbrella could be just a bit larger because my fingers are large and my fingers had trouble pushing the button to slide the umbrella, otherwise, really good.

Umbrella has good feel. Looks and feels strong when it is opened. Folds to a very compact size. But that compact fold also adds some difficulty in folding it. Those double ribs add a degree of difficulty to the fold that some might not like. Otherwise, a really nice umbrella for a compact, fold-up design.
