I live in a 1200 ft. house and I am pretty satisfied with its wifi range and speed. For now it should be noted again that devices prior to 2018, probably won't have wifi 6 compatible devices meaning I won't get full benefit now but it certainly does future proof your house and all wifi devices will still work just fine with this router. Generally, it took me all about 3 minutes to set things up. Remove old wifi router, plugged it into modem, powered it on, installed the app, and everything finished up within a few minutes and I was connected. It was like a breeze. Wifi has been running for 6 days now. Webex con-call meeting running more smoothly and there is no disconnects really. For other smart home devices there is no lag or noticeable drop off as well. Range: As I mentioned earlier, the range is perfect for my 1200 ft. house. For my usage this device gets a 5/5. Swapping a wifi router can be a nightmare, especially when trying to re-connect to the internet for all devices. With a rapid install and automatically firmware update, it's easy to use app to accomplish all that in few minutes. Especially for on the fly modifications, firmware updates, and perfect total speeds. I have a good wifi 6 router I have been hoped for, and a future proof one. Purchased the Rt-AX68U AX2700 to replace a 4.5 year old RT-AC68U AC1900. The 1900 worked very well replacing a Netgear router (that was terrible) but needed to be rebooted several times recently and saw this AX2700 on sale. First off I'm far from an expert when it comes to understanding and installing routers and modems. The instillation was fairly easy, Instruction were kind of ok, but just a few snags along the way that I was able to sort out and within a short time had my 2 computers linked up to the new router along with a new Arris modem replacing an older Arris model. The Wi-Fi connection has a strong solid signal throughout the house to my home theater and cell phones and looks to be better that the previous ASUS AC1900.... (which was a good and reliable component that I was very please with)....The new AX2700 has been up and running for just under a month and had performed solid so far with no problems. I hope it has the same longevity and the AC1900 ( which still works fine) .. Not sure about the Tech Support if needed. I called them with questions about the older AC1900 that was out of warranty, but was given a website for support help with any tech questions. I'll need to make sure this new router gets registered to avoid any issues. All in all I have been very please with ASUS products performance and quality and can highly recommend this for any one looking for a excellent router in their home use. Just picked this up to replace an older Asus wireless router. Since I had pretty good run with Asus (RT-AC-68), decided to stick with the brand. Biggest thing for me was upgrading to WiFi6. Wireless signal strength definitely stronger vs last model with improved range. Setup was pretty painless too, although the app crashed the 1st time I opened it. Once I relaunched it with the most updated firmware I haven’t had any issues. Design feels more premium compared to older model also, I think Asus has made progress on this front. This has been my Router at my home since I bought it with no big problems. I have replaced the firmware with the AsusWRT version which has many new featured to the firmware. It was fairly easy to change the firmware but I am an electrical engineer so it might be a little trickier for a layman. The router serves 5 or 6 computers, 3 printers, 3 TVs for streaming, some cellphones and tablets, and some IOT devices. Every device seems to work perfectly, The only small problem I have had is that the 5 gig band seems to get lost every once in a while. Was having some overheating issues with an old ASUS, those that know this issue, will know the model I had. The old one was a workhorse and is actually still running as a repeater. This one is certainly more pleasing to the eye, runs cold and was a breeze to set up. The app situation for set up is a bit wonky, but it works once you get the hang of it. After a month of running, I started getting Wi-Fi issues. It would shut down the Wi-Fi a few times a day while the Lan connection was still working fine. After contacting support, they helped with adjusting a few settings and so far no issues since. They even stepped up and offered me the option to send it back for repair or replace. Customer service was also very quick in responding and very helpful. I love these routers and hopefully this one will give me long service like the last one. Update: Still running cold and is pretty solid. I would definitely buy this model again! ... show more

So I wanted to wait a while before I wrote my review. I've been a fan of Asus products for many years now and constantly use their routers. This router, like the rest I've used from them has been great. Install and setup is quick and easy with the app, and the wifi coverage has been awesome. I haven't switched internet providers in years and have the same modem for the last 4 years and just with the install of this router, my speeds, both wired and wireless improved greatly. Wired to my PC I'm getting almost the full amount of mbps as what I'm paying for, and when using my phone, it doubled the mbps download speed compared to my last Asus router (which was maybe 5 years old now and going out). The last couple months my speeds have been consistent day to day with no issues. Very happy overall with this router. ... show more
