  • Good build quality, BIOS already updated for 5000 Series
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
I bought this along with a Ryzen 5900x for a major upgrade to my system (previously using a gen 6 intel processor and compatible mobo). I had two concerns going in: first, that I would have to go through the inconvenience and stress of flashing the BIOS after this mobo arrived before installing a 5 series processor. Second, that there might be an issue just switching out the board/chip and reattaching everything without doing a clean Windows reinstallation due to the Intel-AMD switchover. Lo and behold, both of my concerns were unfounded: the board I received came with BIOS version 3603 out of the box, which is ready for the 5000 series processors. (There is a thin white label between the RAM and processor slot with a bunch of numbers; the last four are the BIOS version.) And apart from a small hiccup with the BIOS not initially recognizing my nvme drive as bootable, I've had no real problems with compatibility so far. The install was straightforward, and so far it's running extremely well. *If you are coming from an Intel chipset, the AMD chipset runs hotter than you're probably used to.* I was initially concerned to see it idling at 50 C, but after doing some digging this is apparently normal for Zen 3 boards. Another thing to note is that the second m.2 slot doesn't come with a shield (or at least mine didn't), although some depictions online (and on the manual cover) show both shielded. ... show more

  • Great value motherboard
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
The media could not be loaded. Smooth installation, the manual booklet in the box explains everything. At first run, it booted without a problem and once at Windows, the motherboard automatically configured things and auto installed all the necessary drivers and Armoury Crate software. I used Ethernet connexion while setting things up. The wifi works well and connected to my 5GHz band network without a problem. It just works! Overclocking: This motherboard is capable of decent CPU overclock. I used PBO2/Curve Optimiser and managed to get my 5950x to Multicore at ~4500MHz and I got a respectable 28306 multicore score with Cinebench R23 while having a mid-range AIO (MasterLiquid 240Ml RGB) and relatively high ambient temp (~30°C). You will not break any overclocking records with this $215 motherboard, but for this price, you can’t ask for more. All in all, this is a decent motherboard and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Great Motherboard.
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
I decided to spend a little time with this Motherboard and the Ryzen 7 5800X I put in it before leaving a review. Mainly because the last AMD system I built was the FX-9590. My previous system had the i7-6900K overclocked to 4.3GHz, and I ran it that way for years cooled by Noctua. If you go Ryzen, don't expect any impressive overclocking results. Your best bet will be PBO + AutoOC as demonstrated from places such as Tom's Hardware. Don't let this be a deal-breaker, these chips are fast and the AM4 socket gives you an update path assuming you are running a Ryzen 7 or lesser CPU. As far as cooling goes, I am running the Noctua nh-u14s with a dual fan configuration. This has always kept my overclocked 6900K running cool, and with my Ryzen 7 5800X it is even cooler much to my surprise. Just be aware that the pusher fan is close to the memory and actually does touch it as it slides down a little. Once the fan clips are on, it doesn't really push on the memory, but I want people to be aware of the memory configuration of this Motherboard. All in all I am very satisfied. I have not experienced a crash or any issues with my system. My benchmarks are right where I would expect them to be, and as somebody coming back over to AMD from Intel, I am impressed. ... show more

  • Update - Great MoBo!! Buy it!
Style: TUF Gaming X570-PRO WiFi
I've purchased a lot of Asus components. And usually love them. After snagging a Ryzen 5000 series CPU, this was my choice for an x570 motherboard. Seems to have a great price-performance. However, there are 2 MAJOR issues, so far, and I am very disappointed. 1.) Bought a decent memory kit to go with this - 3600 cl16. It runs great, and even pushes past 3600/cl16 easily. However, on this board, with current BIOS (3001) performance is actually slower, and noticeably so, when running DOCP, which clocks/times it at XMP speed. So, for now at least, I am running 1333 (standard spec) memory speed. 2.) This is the big one - My m.2 (in either m.2 slot) will intermittently fail to show up. It is healthy, works perfectly in other systems, etc., but it won''t even show up in BIOS at times. This is not a CSM issue. The drive is not detected at all. After going through BIOS upgrades/downgrades, pulling the battery, clearing CMOS, reinstalling Windows due to apparent corruption, etc., the issue persists. I suppose I could go back to Sata SSD, but I really want the cable-less drive that m.2 provides ASUS, please fix these issues ASAP, this board appears to be Beta level at this point, and is not acceptable. If anyone else has suggesions on how to fix these issues, I'm all ears, but so far, this is the most frustrating build I've had due to these issues. Got a replacement, and no m.2 issues now. Hoping for bios update that has better docp performance. Update 3: Finally have this running like I expected. Takes some tweaking, and used Ryzen Master and more importantly CTR 2.0 to find values that make it hum. Unequivocally 5 star mobo Update 4: Sorry, one more update. Part of my original frustration was a disappearing m.2 (in BIOS) - It's a Gigabye Aorus Gen4... Tried both m.2 slots, NO other drives, single GPU. I tried moving from 2802 to 3001 BIOS again - And m.2 disappeared again. Love the Flashback feature - Flashed back to 2802 and all is well. I had contacted ASUS support and they said "no one else has had that issue".... OK, I'm the only one, but am back on 2802. Running fine for now though, great OC, etc. ... show more
