I purchased this router specifically for its gaming features and parental controls. The bandwidth limiter is essential for someone who wants to game competitively at the highest level but also have a large household who use the internet for streaming and gaming simultaneously. Instant guard is a great feature that basically allows your mobile device to access the internet safely and securely using a private VPN connection from your router even when you're not connected to your router. Some of my favorite features include the secured easy access to my connected USB storage device, user-friendly application via the phone app and easy parental control settings. I have a 10 year old son who is very acquainted with the internet and the older he gets the harder it gets to monitor what he does online so parents will controls is very important to me. With Wifi Constantly staying above and beyond, I couldn’t be happier. The App is superrrrrr user friendly! Especially with the limited edition Gundam, it’s almost having another person living with us lol, as long as the connection stays solid with multiple devices to include Blink Cameras, Thermostat, Firesticks, Smart Tv, I have no complaints so far. This thing is awesome... Massive upgrade from the Nighthawk x6. Wifi 6 performance is on par with far more expensive brands, DNLA server allows you to select multiple mounted directories. The user interface looks great and is Gundam themed. WiFi6+WPA3+RGB+Gundam = 1 divine peice of hardware.

It has wonderful Wi-Fi output, has setting to prioritize what gets the most Wi-Fi, wonderful when you have gamers in the house ( we have 3 ) and still allows me to watch tv apps with no interruptions. And it’s cool that it looks like Optimus Primes eyes

    • Broken IPv6, worst support line ever.
I've been engaged with Asus support for 2+ months trying to get to the bottom of some speed/connection issues when I discovered it was due to their poor implementation of IPv6 after getting a replacement from them directly, which took long enough to be past Amazon return policy. This IPv6 issue isn't noticed immediately since IPv6 is off by default, likely due to their poor support. I enable and set it correctly per my connection, which their documentation claims as incorrect. I also attribute this due to their support understanding as their way of setting it 100% doesn't work (Can only ping router interface and no WAN) while the proper method I can get global connectivity but IPv6 enabled sites like Gmail and all load painfully slow if at all. I have tried to escalate this again with their support via chat, the tech kept falling back to the documentation while I explained how it was incorrect. They handed it off asking for info, then it wasn't the right info, now they're asking for all the same info AGAIN while still claiming to be the same case number. They have no intention of resolving this, despite how critical functioning IPv6 is to my use case as my standard connection utilizes CGNAT v4 from my provider, so I only get a global IP via v6. Asus somehow not understanding or having a working IPv6 stack in 2022 is embarrassing. There appears to be no solution or intention from Asus to fix the issue, just to waste my time in a support case.
