    • Great router
Great router simple to set up but I did have to mess with the channel settings to get a clear channel and not have interference with the neighbors. It doesn't do it automatically apparently. If you don't get the right channel, your signal is going to be horrible and it'll disconnect constantly.

    • Solid router and still going strong
I bought this router as a replacement for my old ASUS router and it has been working great for the last two years. The management console for ASUS is great and the mobile app makes the configuration updates a breeze. I went with this router instead of a mesh network and I've been very pleased.

    • Good home router
I have used ASUS routers for decades. This model is very good and has many up to date features, including multiple VPN client and server options, QOS, etc. I use mine as the gateway router for our 1200 sq ft apartment with an Xfinity gateway in bridge mode. I alternately use the host and client VPN capability. The wifi coverage is excellent, the 5GHz and 2.4Ghz reach all rooms with good throughput in spite of all the interference from adjacent apartments. The iphone app is pretty useful and the browser interface is very complete. ... show more

    • Fast and super easy install
Very good signal strength and out to end of the 65’ driveway. Easy setup, no app needed. All of the features 99% of users could ever want. No need to call tech support; install went without a hitch. Very good Parental controls and is compatible with everything I’ve got. Good buy.

    • Great product and great support, Worst after sale support
I've been using this router for a few months now and I liked it. It works great! I had a minor issue with 2.4 band it shows no internet connection often and any devices connected to the 2.4 channel stopped responding. I connected to the support with Chat and the support engineer assisted me quickly. The issue was resolved. I recommend this product. You can save at least $10 /month on device rental too. Now let's talk about the after-sales support. I'm facing an issue with my internet and after diagnosis, it is confirmed the issue is with the router, it is dropping the internet continuously. I contacted support, and one ticket was raised for replacement. it has been 2 weeks there has been no movement or communication. Every time I connect to the support (chat or phone) for ETA, I get and standard answer," Sorry, there is no ETA, you will receive an email when your replacement is available." I would suggest not buying ASUS products their support is not up to mark. ... show more

    • Good Range and speed for both Wifi 5 and 6 devices
Speed and Wi-Fi range are very good for both Wifi 5 and 6 devices. In fact it is significantly faster than more expensive Asus and TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 and 7 (Deco BE11000) routers that I tried with 2x2 5Ghz antennas (this router has 4x4 antennas for 5Ghz), even for 2x2 devices like iPhones and laptops (up to 40% faster at 30 feet through walls). Easy to set up and configure with a web browser or the Asus app. ... show more
