This mic has great sound quality, incredible directional sound, and a very clear microphone. There are really only two problems I have with it which are both minor. First being the boom mic does not like to stay in, and after about an hour of gaming it tends to always fall. Second being the battery life is a bit shorter than advertised, maybe around 12-16 hours. Wireless connectivity is very good that it doesn't lose the connection even if I am far away from my laptop and there are a few obstructions like walls and windows. Noise cancellation also works, but I can still hear the bark of my dog when I did a Loom video. Overall, I love the design and color of the headset and all the accessories included in the box.     • Keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, sometimes crashing the entire system
This headset is garbage for the price. Without the armory crate software the default sound is awful. However the most annoying part is random disconnects and re-connects 3s later ( a known issue on the ASUS ROG forums). After the re-connect voice software will not pick up the headset as the default input/output device, depending on what you use. Also there are numerous problems detecting in in armory crate. If you're a fan of ASUS and think this headset is at the same quality level, think again. They can do Motherboards and that's pretty much it. ... show more

The sound quality is very good, and they look great. I have not used them for gaming just for music and I'm happy with them. The connectivity is great by your PC or phone but go take a wee or hit the fridge expect some cutout. The ear cups run small, so if ya have big ears, not recommended.

    • Save the Serial Number from the Box
SAVE THE BOX - it has the serial number. I use this as a gaming headset. The sound quality (if you use the ASUS stabalization software) is great, it's very comfortable and I'm generally very happy with the quality. One problem which is why I took away 2 stars - the external Boom microphone stopped working after 6 months - a loose connection. You have to keep holding it and toggling it for it to work. And using just the internal microphone has a slight buzz/tinny sound that audiophiles can detect and is annoying for hours of use. If ASUS just had a part number of this boom microphone that you could find/order (ironically it is detachable) - this would have been a 5 star review. There are some tiny numbers printed on the headset near the left earphone - none of which are the serial number. The serial number is *only* on the box - so save that number or better yet, register it. ASUS will not cover the warranty if you do not have this serial number - I realize this is my fault for not registering or saving the serial number - but we buy so many ASUS products and what I was annoyed by was: Their website doesn't mention any serial numbers for headsets of where to find them. Their support website doesn't have any parts for the headset - though similar competitors headsets with detachable boom microphones do. Their customer service doesn't know where to find serial numbers for their headset (they kept saying produce the box with numbers on it) - I sent them the receipt of the date of purchase and a photo of the numbers on the headset - but that was not enough. They also do not know of any parts for it that can be ordered. So a word of caution if you buy these - SAVE THE BOX (serial number) ... show more
