  • Needs a modern PC and 750 watts ps
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX4080|Black
I love this card. I do not love the price but at least it isn't being scalped. Sure the 4090 has more performance but it also requires more of everything including money. My current system has a 5800x3d cpu with a 750 watt psu and it runs great. Quiet and cool. I have a large case and a Scythe Fuma 2 cpu cooler and have yet to hear any fan noise. I left it on default which is quiet mode. Performance mode just makes the card loud for a few percent increase in frames. Not worth it. My system would not handle a 4090 and upgrading everything so it could would cost me more in additional funds than the price of the 4080 alone so it made perfect sense to me. I am not a fan of rainbow led unicorn vomit so I installed Asus Armory Crate and made the logo a static color. The logo is the only led and default is unicorn vomit. You can also unplug the led connector on the board to permanently turn off the led. I like the static color as I can only tell my PC is on if I see the logo light on. My room is on the ocean so I have ambient sound of waves crashing so in a perfectly silent room you might hear it. My internet was out when the package arrived and I had to wait for it to come back on before I could install the drivers from Nvidia. Keep that in mind as no software comes with it. My monitor is an Odyssey G9 49" 240hz and games look mind blowing on it. Almost like controlling the actors in a movie. If you have anything less than a 3090 ftw I would highly recommend this card. The 4070 ti is something I considered but at my resolution I would have to turn the settings down so I skipped it. DLSS 3 seems to work well and I am using raytracing for shadows and lighting when available on games. If you are on the fence get off it and get one of theae today. ... show more

  • For the price of the founders edition card, you're getting a lot for your money here.
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX4080|OC|Black
The Asus TUF RTX 4080 graphics card is an absolute powerhouse that delivers stunning performance and exceptional stability, making it an excellent choice for serious gamers and professionals alike. This graphics card is a true marvel, boasting incredible speed and raw power that easily surpasses the RTX 3090 Ti, which is an impressive feat in and of itself. One of the standout features of this card is its massive size and weight, which is a testament to its superior build quality and durability. The card is not only physically impressive, but it's also designed with a sleek and modern aesthetic that looks great in any gaming setup. While it may not have as many RGB lights as some other cards on the market, its boxy design is still very visually appealing and looks great in any case. Another noteworthy aspect of the Asus TUF RTX 4080 graphics card is its remarkably quiet operation. Thanks to its large fans, the card stays cool and quiet even under heavy load, making it perfect for extended gaming sessions or other demanding workloads. This quiet operation is especially impressive given the card's incredible performance capabilities, as other high-performance graphics cards often produce a lot of noise when pushed to their limits. Overall, the Asus TUF RTX 4080 graphics card is an exceptional piece of hardware that offers top-tier performance, exceptional build quality, and a sleek and modern design. Whether you're a serious gamer or a professional in need of high-performance graphics, this card is an excellent choice that won't disappoint. ... show more

  • Another gem Graphics card
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX4080|OC|Black
Its another huge upgrade in Graphics power and efficiency. I had a GTX 1080 fews year back, and when I got the card, I was blown away by its cool and quiet power. Got the GTX 2070 Super a few years after that and it was decent. Upgraded to a GTX 3080 12Gb 15 months ago and it was a good card but a little power hungry. This RTX 4080 card is a beast plainly. Its silent, it cranks out frames under full load at around 230 watts. The efficiency and the power it provides is quite amazing. I called it the 2nd coming of the GTX 1080. I stuck with AMD for many years and I would have no problem trying out there Graphics cards and processors but after nvidia released the 1080 I was blown away. So if it aint broken don't fix it. The 4080 is a superior card. Can be pricey though. However with all that said I have had some driver issues or some corruption in my OS. hard to say. The first 2 games I tried to play wouldn't even load up, which was quite shocking. Iords of the fallen, I eventually got it to fly. I have yet to get Lies of P up and running, I am just going to assume its on my end. Heard some similar complaints about both games at load up. The card cant be blamed for that. Usually Nvidia drivers and new games are flawless but not so much here. Still, I will call it happen stance. 5 Stars. ... show more

  • Excellent
Style: TUF Gaming Size: RTX4080|Black
The 4080's an excellent video card in every way except for the price. If you're not looking exclusively at 4k120 or don't want to spend the extra hundreds of dollars on a 4090, it's the best way to go. I upgraded from a 3080 10gb, and the performance increase was dramatic in everything. The card is also extremely quiet; it doesn't even have to turn on the fans if you aren't gaming, and even with some older games it doesn't get hot enough to rev the cooling enough to be heard. It's sitting at 37c with the fans off as I type this, and it's fairly warm in the room I'm in. Performance-wise, you also can't go wrong here. It can handle 4k60 easily, if you want it for that; I have a higher refresh-rate 1440p monitor, and it can normally handle even the most demanding games out there at 100+fps with everything turned up. Cyberpunk 2.0/Phantom Liberty plays perfectly at 1440p Ultra with Path Tracing enabled, as an example. Starfield plays with no problems at all, Remnant 2 was pushing my monitor's refresh at 160fps at 1440p Ultra with DLSS Quality+Framegen. There really hasn't been anything I could throw at it that it couldn't handle, or that justified paying more for a 4090 on my setup. It's a great card, I just hope with the 5000 series Nvidia finds a way to make them a little more reasonably priced. ... show more
