Upgraded from ROG RX580 and seeing massive gains at max settings on just about anything I throw at it @1440p/144hz. Card lives at around 70 degrees Celsius under load. 2020 Adrenalin software makes configuration and customization a breeze. I didn't have any hard crashes or driver issues that I've seen mentioned in other reviews. I did have some Aura Sync issues, as the software doesn't recognize the card. I ended up having to download the standalone RGB controller software for the 5700XT from Asus to control it. This isn't a huge strike because I run a static red scheme, but others might find it annoying. I essentially have three applications to control three different RGB devices (Motherboard, Wraith cooler, GPU) for instance. Value is probably the biggest knock here. That's not to say that this card isn't worth the price of admission, it's just that it's not much of a "deal." You're getting what you pay for so this doesn't come off as a bargain in any way. I delayed for six months anticipating a Christmas/Holiday sale that never came. That being said, AMD seems committed to this product stack and I don't see these cards losing market value in the near future. Works great, despite a lot of complaints about driver issues.
I bought this card after buying a new monitor to replace my GTX 1070. I have a Ryzen 7 2700x/X470 Chipset/32GB DDR4 RAM. The GPU was the only thing I didn't upgrade when I built my new system, and it did really well until I received an Asus XG49V monitor (32:9, 3840x1080 resolution). When trying to play most games at that resolution, the frame rate was less than acceptable. I started shopping graphics cards, and doing research on what would suit my needs. Unfortunately benchmarks for such a resolution don't really exist, most benchmarks are for standard resolutions and not ultrawide displays. I took a gamble and ordered this card, and am nothing short of pleased. When you add in FidelityFX and HDR10 to the games that support it, it's like a whole new game. The Division 2 on max settings nets an average of 70-80FPS, Ghost Recon Breakpoint didn't have a problem staying above 60FPS regularly, Apex Legends stands at an easy 100+ FPS, Battlefield 4 (because I still play it) was around 200FPS. This card definitely delivers a great performance on such a resolution that I play on, and I would recommend it for 1080/1440 gaming as well. I haven't had any driver issues, like most have been reporting lately. This card is great! I recently upgraded from my gtx 1060 to the 5700xt and was not disappointed, the GPU made a massive difference in my games. I went for the Asus Strix because of the clean style of the Strix model and the cooling. Drivers are not hard to install and I have not had any problems with it from when I bought a couple of months ago. The aura sync and Asus GPU tweak software is great and easy to understand, for only $450 it was a steal! Pros: -3 fans for cooling (under full load, doesn't go above 80*) -aura sync is easy and nice-looking -Gpu has great overall performance -Build quality is the best I've seen (Its quite heavy) Cons: -The only real con is how gigantic this card is which you can expect from Asus. I personally don't mind but make sure this thing will fit in your case, and you might want to add in a GPU support bracket too just to prevent GPU sag. ... show more

OK This is more like what I expected
First let me say that when this thing is working its very nice, the games look great. That being said When i can get the games to run some games like 7 days to die crash at he menu and refuse to load and when it does i get artifacts. GT5 will crash mid game. Borderlands 3 stutters, which may be the game. but its caused several blue screens and locked up the computer entirely. I not a super techy guy so I have no Idea what the solution is. my computer is brand new with Asus mobo and replacing an older Asus gpu. Im about to have them send me another Card in hopes that will fix it. (edit JAN 26) after sending for a new one and not sure if I should of after all, and maybe it was on my end. I'm pleased to report the new one is working much better maybe it was the new patch that came like the same day. maybe its the new hardware My technical knowledge is pretty limited in that area. Long story short It works waay better. and seems pretty cool under load. I have not investigated someone the other problems Ive seen on line with heating or flexing. Looks cool sounds quiet. 1080 games run at great frames. not sure if you should buy this model,for me it was just a brand thing so my gpu matched my moba ... show more

Biggest Video Card I have ever owned - Powerful Too

This year I decided it was time to upgrade from my old ATI-HD 5770 video card which is no longer supported. Figured I would get a top of the line AMD card and decided on this one. When I received it, I found it wouldn't work on my current system at the time. So I started buying what I needed to build a new system then and there. By the time I was done, I had spent over $3000.00 and I just fired my new system up about a week ago. The video card works just fine, but I found that the fans did not run and there was no way to enable them. Did a bit of research I found that I had to use both CPU-Z and MorePowerTools to modify the firmware to enable manual fan control. Now they work like a charm. Anyone can find this information just by Googling the fan problem with the video card. The card itself was well worth the purchase and it works in my new AMD Ryzen 9 3900X system ... show more

Buyer beware deiver issue no fix. Asus=customernoservice
The product when it runs right is amazing. With each update it got better and better. But still disappointed both in asus and amazon... I patiently waited for driver updates to see if the lazy clock and poor performance in certain games was a driver issue. Unfortunately in doing that I went past my return window and both amazon and asus can’t tell me what’s wrong with this thing. So as it turns out. They have bios issues which the bios update did nothing for it. The card will run at 50mhz sometimes for a while in a game, you can only begin to Imagine what that does to the game play experience. I was able to get my hands another card just like it from a friend to test and it worked as it should. So! Here I am with this card defective doesn’t perform as it should amazon wants me to eat $100 restocking fee and asus well they just don’t seem to care.... if they fixed the bios and other issues this would be ok. It overclocks good I’ve got it running at 2150mhz and the memory at 900 stable. One other issue I have is o get no bios boot screen when I turn on pc. It doesn’t send a signal to the monitor. It goes straight into the windows boot screen. I am an asus fan boy and an Amd fan boy I know they’re not the best but I root for Amd the underdog and they did a nice job on this card and price point. It would be a 5 star for me for what I play. But now what? So disappointed! Update 1/7/2020 Still a steaming pile of you know what along with asus customer no service. I was contacted immediately after my review. I want nothing less than a full refund or upgrade to something better and I was willing to pay the difference to which they will not do. This card has massive enermous amount of issues besides Amd drivers which are work in progress. The card runs as low as 6mhz in 1080p games which it shouldn’t at all with this kind of horse power. Don’t buy it don’t buy anything from asus. I’ve read of people rma the card 5-6 times and still getting cards back with issues. I have an asus x570 e gaming and this card both are going in a fire pit and I’m never buying a darn thing from such a disgraceful company. Update 1/29/2020 03:11am I just want to game! Damn it with taxes this is nearly the price of a 2070s... smh asus reached out and I made it clear I want an rma or refund. they won’t refund the pile steaming _________! It is clear now how terribly designed and flawed it is as many tech tubers now have called out asus for the sagging heat sink. I’ve seen 108c junction temp if I rma my card I have no idea how long before I get it back. I’ve exchange several email saying let’s rma it and no progress no next step to rma the card just wishful thinking at this point. This really sucks because it a strixx rog theme build.... I’m refuse to pay for shipping to fix a huge screw up by asus. Quality control was an epic failure on this part it now been how long since purchased and I have this giant paperweight. Got my card yesterday, Ran multiple benchmarks and about 4 hours of steady gaming and the card has not gone over 60 deg , Steady 2044 mhz in performance mode and still whisper quiet , have to say i'm pretty impressed last amd card i owned was an 850xt and have been green team up till yesterday when i decided to swap from my 2070 due to display complications which this card has resolved. I was skeptical at first but so far this card is definitely a big improvement. Ignore the review about it being overpriced , i'm not sure if that person realized that at the time it was not amazon priced but a 3rd party seller and those usually always overcharge , the current price on it is Amazon's direct price ( $459 ). Seems a bit silly to post a review and damage the rating of something over a price disagreement. ... show more

I got this this to get threw till the new cards come out in september that is if I am lucky enought to get my hands on one..Its my first system I ever built and I think if I had to do all over again I think I would just get a custum made one next time..Its a pain..I still have not got everything right and still have a lot of questions lol...Thank you and be safe Update 8/24/20 it was nobodys fault one of the display ports would not work and another display port started acting strange, when it would boot up two of the monitors would come on and the same one would come on some times and it would not..The cords were aall after market high doller and I changed them around so that only left the card to blame..Sent it back waiting on refund till I can get a new 3080ti now I have a old 550...Thank you and be safe ... show more
