Lol, Will get you laid is the general consensus of this fragrance in an article in an online magazine review of men’s fragrances by a large group of women. I was looking for a new cologne and that part of the article made me laugh but it was one of the higher rated scents and I tested a few of them locally and I thought this one smelled best to me. Clean not to musky, unique scent for a man, I would say it has aspects of an Armani Code Black or Ralph Lauren Blue type scent, but definitely a richer more layered scent that’s gives you a different fragrance profile at different times. I even thought I caught a old school Joop hint in there a couple times. As a married man I have to say my wife’s opinion on my scent of choice is important (mandatory if I’m not kidding myself) and she likes it and says it smells awesome but no tearing off of the clothes or anything out of the ordinary, lol. I do get lots of compliments on it. As for whether it will drastically change your love life? I will leave that up to you single guys to figure out, as for me smelling nice is enough. It is long lasting and a little goes a long way. I definitely recommend it. Now I will try to help those who are concerned about paying good money and ending up with a fake. Amazon themselves has to much to lose and would never sell you anything but the original, they have nothing to gain and everything to lose by doing that. They spend millions combating fakes and have built up to big of a business to hurt it themselves. So buy from them and you will not have problems. Now about people claiming fragrances on here don’t smell the same as what they had before and smell a strong alcohol smell. In most cases I have read they are saying that about an aftershave spray or cologne which are around 1-3% fragrance for aftershave and around 5% fragrance for cologne. If they had the Eau de toilet or Eau de parfume version of the same scent they are around 10% fragrance for Eau de toilet and 15%+ for Eau de parfume. So there is more alcohol base in the versions of a scent with less fragrance in it and less scent to mask it. These scents are super powerful and the difference between 5 and 15% is drastic. That is why sprays are weaker as you are putting more on at a time and Eau de Parfume is lightly dabbed on your wrist and neck where blood vessels are close to the skin surface and warm. I hope this helps because I know it can be confusing and I remember when I thought a scent was a scent. It also explains pricing irregularities as the more the percentage of fragrance the more the price per given size. So my only advice is buy it when Amazon is the seller and shipper and check the version of the scent you are getting, most sell in several. Thank you for reading

Ordered on sale at $38.59. Like another customer, I expected just the Eau de Toilette in a can but got a cardboard gift box including a 1.6oz Gel Douche and a 1.0oz L'Apres Rasage. It came in an off white and black striped box which fit in a slide off plastic sleeve open on both sides with a retail price sticker reading $82.00. Initially, I was a bit put off by the inability to match serial numbers between a can and the bottle, a minor scuff on the bottle as well as a slight tilt in the pump spray top. I then compared to my existing department store bottle which I discovered also had a slight tilt in the pump spray top. Both tops will rest completely straight with minor adjustment. All printing, color and embossing appears original. I would also find it surprising that someone would bother reproducing the bonus items so perfectly in this pack if they were going to do a knock-off. The most important test is, of course, the smell test. I had the product and my existing original applied blind to each of my wrists by my wife. I have been using this scent on a daily basis for over 5 years and I have no doubt that the product I received that was sold and shipped by Amazon is the authentic Gaultier product. Scents on both my wrists are identical both initially and hours later. I do not agree with those who say you must always buy such items through a reputable brick and mortar retailer, however, choosing your seller through Amazon and carefully examining the product should go without saying. I am confident that Amazon would have taken this product back had I found any objections and always could have relied on my credit card company if I had any unresolved issues. At the end of the day I had an awesome savings compared to the retail price.

If your new to this scent, get the sample first. I'm more of a fresh scent type of guy and this one struck me as "spicy". It may take another time or three for me to warm up to it, but initially it's not very high on my list.
