I've been using the ASUS ROG Raikiri II Wireless Gaming Controller for both Xbox and PC, and it has quickly become one of my favorite controllers. The first thing that stands out is the build quality. It feels solid although light, premium, and comfortable during long gaming sessions without feeling overly heavy. The buttons and triggers have a satisfying feel, and the rear buttons add extra flexibility for games that benefit from additional controls. I also appreciate the customization options available through ASUS software, allowing you to tailor the controller to your preferences. My first controller had some button rattle/sticking in the X button which was odd so I returned and got a suitable replacement with no button rattle or sticking issues. Wireless connectivity has been reliable in my experience, and switching between devices is straightforward. The RGB lighting and overall ROG styling give it a premium appearance without being distracting. What impressed me most is how comfortable the controller feels in hand. The ergonomic design and textured grips provide excellent control and make extended gaming sessions enjoyable. Overall, if you're looking for a feature-rich wireless controller for Xbox and PC with premium construction, comfortable ergonomics, and useful customization options, the ASUS ROG Raikiri II is definitely worth considering.

I rarely write product reviews, but this controller is the most comfortable and intuitive one I’ve used in years. I read many reviews before buying it, and while the feedback wasn't great, the very flaws others pointed out were actually the reasons I chose it. Some people felt it lacked a premium feel, but I appreciate how lightweight it is; it’s much lighter than my previous DSE controller and feels far more natural to use. Others complained that the back buttons were prone to accidental presses, but I think the design is excellent. While many players use a four-finger grip, I use a six-finger grip; I can easily trigger the back buttons by simply applying a bit of pressure with my little and ring fingers, yet those fingers remain completely relaxed when I’m not pressing them. These back buttons are a feature I really love (I have them mapped to L3 and R3). Beyond that, my favorite aspect is the use of microswitches for all buttons, including the shoulder buttons. This means I don't have to mash down hard—I can easily rapid-fire inputs, which is a fantastic design choice. I sincerely hope ASUS carries this design over to the next generation of ROG controllers; if they do, I’ll buy it without hesitation.

If I could give this zero stars I would, firstly the controller itself is great, the support is TERRIBLE. Amoury crate is a flat out joke, it's doesn't work, it never works. The app doesn't connect to anything and doesn't even register the damn controller when it's connected via Bluetooth. Can't even log in with my ROG ID. worthless IMHO. Spend your money elsewhere

When I first unboxed it, the rubber cover for the USB-C port on the protective case immediately popped out. Fortunately, I was able to put it back in place without any trouble. The second thing I noticed was a strange smell coming from the case, similar to the odor often found in very cheap cases from Ali. The smell also transfers to the controller itself. It's not overwhelming, but after about three hours of gaming, I could still smell it on my hands. As for the controller, the performance has been excellent so far. All the buttons have a satisfying, clicky feel. However, the buttons above the triggers are extremely sensitive, and I accidentally pressed them several times. The rear buttons under the handles are well positioned, but they cannot be disabled (to prevent clicks) or physically removed. I wish Asus had included a magnetic system that would allow users to swap them for different shapes or replace them with blank covers. I hope the controller remains reliable over time and doesn't develop issues like the Xbox Elite Controller, but only time will tell. As for the software, AC does not configure the controller and instead directs you to the gearlink website. While I generally like the idea of using a dedicated web app, the problem is that not all ROG peripherals are supported there. As a result, some devices must be configured in AC while others use gearlink. It would be much more convenient to manage everything in one place. That said, this isn't a major issue since most users will only need to configure the controller once and then simply enjoy using it. Because of the drawbacks mentioned above, I wanted to give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Since that wasn't an option, I settled on 4 stars. I wouldn't recommend buying it at full price. Instead, I'd suggest waiting for a discount, as I did.

I am a bit of a controller connoisseur. I have a pretty collection of controllers with various back buttons/paddles and up until now I would say my AIM Xbox controller and the Razer Wolverine V3 have the best back buttons. I would say the Razer Wolverine V3 back buttons fit your hand like a glove, but in doing so kind of locks your hands in one position (not at bad thing really) but the Asus ROG fits right where your fingers naturally rest like the Wolverine, but because the back buttons are more straight and now curved to your fingers it gives you more versatility on how you can hold the controller and still have full access to the back buttons. The buttons, dpad and triggers are all excellent clicky and responsive. I like the "auto wake up" feature when the controller goes to sleep, you can wake it up by pressing any button or moving the sticks. The only thing I would love to see to make this as close to perfect as you can get is if the two extra buttons were on the top by the triggers, so you don't have to take your hands off the sticks to press them.

This controller is really interesting, and I have a huge love/hate relationship with it (maybe because it's my first pro controller). Size: This controller is smaller than a standard Xbox controller. It might be uncomfortable or it might not; honestly, in my case, the difference wasn't that noticeable. Paddles: The back paddles are NOT removable. If you're not used to pro controllers (like me), I strongly recommend getting one that lets you remove the back paddles. I really thought I'd get used to them, but I don't even use them, and they're just uncomfortable. Buttons: Most of the buttons are clicky (like mouse switches). You might not like the clicking sound they make. Also, the A, B, X, and Y buttons have very short travel, so you'll probably miss that tactile feedback that lets you know you actually pressed the button (it's not uncomfortable though, just different). Weight: This controller is too light compared to Xbox Series controllers. Keep this in mind, since many people prefer a heavier controller over a lighter one. D-pad: It's extremely uncomfortable for fighting games. It's usable, yes, but very awkward. For other types of games, like shooters or games where the D-pad is only used for menu navigation, it works great since it doesn't require much pressure (although the shape of the D-pad itself could bother your fingertip). Bumpers: They're good but not amazing. The plastic feels poorly made because it creaks all over. My Xbox controller, which I've had for over a year, has never creaked at all, in the bumpers or anywhere else, but this one started creaking from the very first time I used it. Keep that in mind. Thumbsticks: Probably one of the most uncomfortable and frustrating parts. The system this controller uses to swap thumbstick sizes is simply bad, so bad that the plastic on the thumbsticks wears down after being swapped only once or twice, which then causes them to creak when moved even slightly. Connectivity: Honestly, I haven't noticed anything wrong here, no instability or anything like that. The only thing is that it doesn't turn on the console like Xbox controllers do, but after looking into it a bit, it seems like no licensed controller can do that. Secondary buttons: The start/select buttons, the Xbox button, and the Armory Crate button aren't great; I much prefer traditional buttons. Triggers: Another thing I really dislike is the short travel trigger setting. When it's enabled, it feels like the trigger needs a second input to register. It's hard to explain, but basically, if you don't apply much force, the trigger drops down and feels like it's hitting the switch, but it doesn't actually activate it. It takes a bit more force than you'd expect, and while that might not sound like much, it's uncomfortable because it feels like the trigger isn't firing on the first try. The normal trigger mode (without short travel) works fine. Build quality: Aside from the bumpers, thumbsticks, and triggers, the controller itself feels well made. It's lightweight, but solid. Would I recommend it? Maybe. I don't love it, but it's usable. I think the Raikiri II Pro would be a better choice, since it reportedly fixes the issues mentioned here.

Amazing! I just want to know of there are thumbsticks replacementes! Seems to be very plastic and want to know if i can replace them IF they were damaged. Other than that feels amazing battery is amazing and very durable. Wieght is very lightweight. Is ez to customice in the gear software. The clicki buttons are amazing never felt that before is super responsive! The paddles or down buttons are very confortable

Really good. Coming off my third Elite 2 controller; this feels very different. The clicky micro-switch buttons take a little getting used to, but overall, this is leagues ahead of the Elite 2. Feels very close in shape in size to a standard Xbox controller.
