SHORT STORY: I have had only bad issues buying ASUS m/b in the past. Every single one of the m/b I bought came DoA or burning circuits after short use. I stopped buying from them and it's been over 15 years ok so I'm serious on this. So this past Cyber Monday I thought "well my current PC is 4 yrs. old let's do an upgrade" and looking at this ASUS I thought "why not give them a chance, WCGW right?" I nervously clicked the "Pay" button and ordered it thinking "here we go let's keep the box for a while just in case" but hey it's been a solid week without any hiccups. I cannot go without saying I am very, very, very skeptical about it waiting for it to break anytime but it hasn't happened. Will wait/update in a few months to see what happens. [UPDATE] So, guess what it's been almost a year and this thing holds like first day of use. I am using a Ryzen 2700x with it for reference. Usage is heavy; I am a gamer [duh] so it's getting pounded heavily for 5-6 hours of use every day, longer on weekends. So far so good knock on wood.

So far it's a good board with plenty of features for the price and I haven't had too many major problems with it save for one. The CPU power header no longer works right anymore. It no longer runs some fans and others is won't allow me to lower the RPMs as low as it used to and I'm not sure why just started doing it last night. I had to set a case fan to it and the CPU fans to the AIO header to get it to work and still be able to boot. works fine now for the most part if not a little off on the controls. Too small an issue to really get me to bother with returning it or trying to mess with it too much so just kind of dealing with it for now though might decide to later. Outside that small issue it's not a bad board and I defiantly like the level of fan control(even if controlling the CPU fans is kinda off lol) computer runs nice and quiet when not gaming. If I could change one thing though it would be the lighting on the board itself. Would be nice to be able to change the color of it to fit my green/black theme but it's at least not so prominent as to be distracting and is nothing compared tot he annoying red and blue lights on the graphics card and M.2 expansion card...

Works well about a year later, top 2 USB ports have become unusable at some point, I dont know why. They keep detecting and undetecting devices I plug in, so windows sounds go crazy until you completely unplug devices. Oherwise tho it's great for every use.

Fantastic Motherboard! Has NVMe, plugs for 4 fans plus AIO and 4 usb 3.0 / 2 usb 2.0. Very convenient. The bios is very user friendly and organized. Board feels well made and it looks stylish. I love the integrated LED glow. I have no complaints at all. Just for more potentially helpful information, I purchased it along with a Ryzen 5 2600, vengeance 2x8 3000, NVMe 970 evo, 600w PSU, and an RX 580. I had zero problems connecting the CPU or memory and I’m at my desktop within 15 seconds of powering up. It can handle any game you throw at it at max graphics 60-90fps in 1080p. Haven’t tried 4K.

Having past experience with ASUS I made sure to go with them again. They build good boards, and this board fit all my requirements. I’m not using all of the boards features yet, but I’m glad they are there. There are plenty of fan headers, USB 3.1 gen2 is here, as well as a USB-C port. I also needed an M.2 socket. Everything went in and worked perfectly from first boot. Windows 10 1809 loaded all the drivers I needed. I did have to go into BIOS to tell the board to boot from the Windows installation USB drive but that’s not a big deal. I also did a BIOS update and enabled XMP, but I’m not sure those were necessary.

I have always had issues with AMD, from MB's to Processers. I build 4-10 PC's a year for people and 90% of AMD, have failed within the year and issues during.. But this was recommended from a few Clients, and the cost for the bundle was right in range. Although I am only A few months in with this board and Processor. I have NOTHING bad to say. Set up was fast and easy, the BIOS is more than user-friendly, it's so easy to set up, a child could do it. NOT OVER-CLOCKED, it has run faster than anything I wanted. Ask me in one year to see what I think to see if it outlasts all of its younger versions.

I've had this mobo for 7 months now and my only complaint was how hard it was to get my cooler installed. The springs offered way too much pressure but all is well. Ran with a 3600x, 16GB of RAM (although even after adjusting the timing and everything it was still reporting the base RAM speed in the 2000 range.) The ad title says HDMI DVI but the only port on the board is HDMI for onboard video.
