  • Happy I paid for insurance for my laptop
They sent me material to send them my laptop once i put the request in to have it fixed. Once they recieved my laptoptoo i was given notification of receipt as well as updates that it was being worked on. They fixed my computer in a timely manner. Although i was not told what was wrong with it until i recieved the laptop back. I was worried when i first recieved my laptop because it shut off soon after i turned it on and i couldn't reboot which was the original reason i sent it in. But i let it charge for 24 hrs and i was able to turn it on again. I remain optimistic that it is fixed. I have not turned it on again because ihave not had time but i remain positive that it was fixed ... show more

  • Zero hassle, Excellent Customers Service
So happy I purchased this plan for my laptop. Had a SSD issue with my laptop. They sent me a box to send the laptop to them. It arrived in 2 days. I sent it off. And within 3 days I had my laptop back. They overnighted it to me. There was zero hassle like you would be accustomed to working with other insurance related businesses. I filed the claim. They repaired it about as fast as possible. And now my laptop works great. If you're going to spend the money on a laptop I wouldn't hesitate to back it up with this insurance plan. ... show more

  • Worth It!
Worth the money. I purchased an expensive 2TB laptop 2 years ago. Windows 11 crashed it. TWICE. Bitlocker locked me out. Asurion couldn't get me back in, but they replaced the hard drive. The first time it crashed they paid a local guy $275 to "fix" it. The second time is when they replaced the hard drive. Not sure why but it now has a 4TB hard drive. I guess they believe that will help with the Win 11 issue. Not complaining on that. NO ONE PAID ME ANYTHING FOR THIS!!! Sad I lost some info that didn't get backed up. But most was. Can't stand Bitlocker. It is a supposed protection that Windows adds and sometimes enables. Warranty: I wanted a longer warranty that what the company gave. Protection level: No warranty gives you no protection. It was an expensive laptop that I didn't want to just replace in 90 days to 2 years (the normal warranty times). Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is what Amazon offered so it would be cheaper to purchase here. ... show more

  • Excellent, no-hassle service.
My laptop started having horizontal lines across the display. I contacted Asurion, and they immediately sent me the shipping materials and instructions to ship it to them for repair. They kept me informed daily of the repair progress, and shipped it back to me in full working order. Overall it was one of the most "painless" customer service experiences I have ever had. ... show more

  • Beyond worthless. Designed to rip you off.
I've had my Asus laptop for a year (great laptop, btw). Over time, the GPU fan started to seize up. It was just barely out of Asus warranty, so it fell on Asurion to service the fan. I run a computer shop myself, so I could have fixed the issue myself in 15 minutes, but I figured "I paid for it, I should use it." I created a support ticket, and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, about 14 days later, I received a cheap plain cardboard box with some weird plastic pillow packaging for the computer, a cardboard insert for the power supply, and a single sheet of poorly xerox'ed paper which I had to fill out the information I had already put in my ticket, as well as putting all the ticket numbers, model numbers, policy numbers, etc, that they should already have. I also see several warnings to back up my data. Since the repair I requested did not require anyone to boot into any operating system to perform, and literally only requires removing some screws, applying some thermal paste, and turning it on to make sure it doesn't rattle anymore, I should just remove the hard drives to remove any chance of data loss due to mishandling. I just got a call from Asurion stating that because I did not leave the hard drives in, they will not work on the computer. Needless to say, I was furious at their lame excuse for making me wait almost a month now to do 15 minutes of work, then not doing it. I told them to send it back, and to give me a refund. Their response is that they will be prorating my refund. Try to wrap your head around that one...failing to do 15 minutes of work because of their own incompetence, then having the balls to still keep some of my money for the privilege of letting them waste my time. Never buy any Asurion warranty. They will use every trick in the book to waste your time and your money. ... show more

  • Reliable and dependable
Had an issue with my Alienware laptop completely shutting down, screen going blank, with no way to turn it back on. I contacted Asurion and gave me simply instructions to send it back to them for repair. They kept me updated throughout the time the laptop was in their hands, eg. parts they needed to order, etc. Overall, very reliable and dependable service. Thank you. ... show more
