  • Worked great on Ford Expedition
Style: Mechanical Screen Color: White
This is a solid well built unit. I was surprised at the quality ( metal construction) at this price point. I used it on both my daughter’s Escaoe and wife’s Expecition. Cables and hose were plenty long enough to easily reach all four tires. I need to inflate the Expedition to 45psi and the unit easily handled the task. The built in gauge read high (~5psi) however I was using a separate gauge to set the final pressure anyway. ... show more

  • The T4 Compressor-inflator works well, is good quality and solidly built
Style: Digital Screen Color: White
This is for the T4 with a digital gauge and automatic shutoff, and not the T3. I had been looking for a good inflator for some time. Then last week I saw the T4 listed as a new option and was deeply discounted. I took a chance, jumped on it, and have no regrets. The unit came very well packaged to prevent shipping damage. It seems very well built, easily on par or exceeding the quality of similar units from VIAIR or Pittsburgh. The digital gauge is accurate to within a pound of my handheld dial and digital gauges. There is more than enough length of air hose and cabling to reach any tire on even the largest SUV or Pickup Truck. Just hook-up to the battery, attach to the tire, set to the desired pressure, start the engine (so as to not drain the battery), then flip the switch on the pump. It inflates quickly and stops when the selected pressure is reached. It couldn't be easier! The only negative is the included storage bag is too small and flimsy to easily contain the hose, power cabling and compressor unit. Getting them to fit back into the bag is nearly impossible, and takes more time than inflating the tires. The only improvements I would make to the inflator would be adding a detachable hose coupler, and a quick release inflation nozzle. Other than that it's perfect for most vehicles. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good value and performs well.
Style: Digital Screen Color: White
This replaced a similar 10 year old Harbor Freight pump. It's used to fill and top off car and trailer tires. Pros: Slightly faster, quieter, lighter, and cooler than the HF. Hose quality seems pliable and durable. Overall hose and cable length is fine from the front of the car to all tires and for short trailers. The digital display and programmability is fine. Cons: The always-on light is near useless. The unit walks around during operation due to the skimpy base and small rubber feet. The included case is cheap and small. ... show more

  • Great inflator. It pulls 64 amps inrush current. The compresor head gets to 200 degrees F.
Style: Digital Screen Color: White
The media could not be loaded. Initial review: Very nice inflator. Fairly quiet, much faster than those cigarette lighter models. Standard car cigarette lighter sockets (also called 12V auxiliary power outlets) are typically rated for a maximum of 10-15 amps. This little powerhouse pulls 19 amps while running, which is the reason you can't plug it into the 12V socket. It also pulls 64 amps inrush current, for about 10 milliseconds: the reason the inline slow-blow fuse holds up. I ran 3 tests, it pulled, 61A, 63A, and 64A inrush current. It does heat up, so be careful not to grab the compressor head, it gets over 200 F in under 1 minute. If you are trying to use this without a car nearby, you need a 100 amp CCA 12 volt battery to connect it to. Don't try powering this with a 12V power tool battery; the 64A inrush current I measured will cause voltage drop, shutdown, or damage, as these batteries lack current limiting and can't sustain such draws. Stick to car/truck batteries with the included clips for safe use. High-draw devices like the AstroAI T4 (rated around 20-25 amps continuous, with inrush spikes) can pull far more current than typical power tool batteries provide: often 10-30 amps max continuous for 12V models, depending on size (e.g., 2-5Ah packs). Attempting this risks excessive voltage sag, overheating, BMS shutdown, or permanent battery damage from the inrush current overwhelming the cells. ... show more

  • Easy to use, automatic turns off when up to pressure
Style: Digital Screen Color: White
Connect to the car battery, set the pressure to inflate to, start the engine, attach the hose to the value stem, turn the switch on the compressor on. The compressor runs to inflate the tire to the preset pressure, then turns off. I brought the pressure up to 35 PSI on three cars. This is the functionality I wanted! ... show more

  • Too hot
Style: Digital Screen Color: White
The product is generating too much heat even also on the thick cable writhing two minutes period of use. I wonder what will happen in extensive period of use. It is too expensive.
