Normally a refrigerator left outside or in the garage will have to work harder due just due to how then thermodynamics work but these little peltier boxes just run constantly matter what. That said, they also use a horrible amount of power, like this one uses 41 watts CONSTANTLY all day every day of the year. Meanwhile your actual refrigerator in your kitchen will use less because it may draw 150 watts, but only some of the time. For how much I pay in power that works out to like $45 a year in power, and we're on the lower end for per KWh pricing in the nation. That said, a compressor fridge will not fit in this footprint, and costs a bunch more up front anyways. I don't know what the longevity would be like but if you want to leave cold drinks out for the delivery drivers then even with the.substantial power draw this is doing alright. You can also tote it along in your car on a trip with the included 12v adapter though we've never done that. Keep in mind it will also be a 41 watt space heater while running. Versus the Frigidaire competition the handle is much nicer to use. There's no little window, but the window on the competition's is probably a weak spot for energy leakage. We get a couple years out of each one.

Perfect for my office storing breastmilk and pump parts at work for the day! I never have to worry if I forget them at work because they are perfectly safe in the fridge - but away from communal places! I don’t think it would hold much else if trying to store Spectra parts but the Momcozy pump parts and all the milk from the day fit perfectly!
